Simon William Bisson Pitkeathley (born 9 May 1964) is a British businessman who is due to be conferred with a life peerage.

Early life and family

Simon William Bisson Pitkeathley was born on 9 May 1964, to Thomas Pitkeathley and Jill Pitkeathley. His parents divorced in 1978, and Simon Pitkeathley was brought up in a single parent household by his mother. He has one sister, Rachel Pitkeathley. [1]

Career

He is the Chief Executive of Camden Town Unlimited and Euston Town, and was formerly the Mayor of London's Champion for Small Business. [2]

Pitkeathley unsuccessfully sought to be the Labour Party candidate for the constituency of Holborn and St Pancras in 2014, but Keir Starmer was ultimately selected. [3]

He was nominated for a life peerage in December 2024 by Prime Minister Keir Starmer for the Labour Party. [2]

Personal life

Pitkeathley married Miranda Pitcher in 1996, and they have two sons together. He and his wife later provided respite care to three fostered children. [4]
