Simplified is a North American rock, island vibe, and reggae rock band based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Chris Sheridan and Clee Laster met at local pub while Sheridan was bartending and Laster was performing as a solo artist at the Charlotte, North Carolina Uptown venue formerly known as The Graduate. The two formed an acoustic duo and began performing concerts known as Simplified in and around the city in 2002. In 2004, Sheridan and Clee auditioned band members, adding a bassist and drummer creating a quartet. Simplified began touring regionally in the Southeast United States in 2005. [1] The band toured the United States nationally [2] and performing shows internationally in North and occasionally in Central America. According to PANDORA Radio statistics, Simplified is rated one of the highest-level independent artists in the world with the 2006 song from the Smile album "Wake 'n Bake".[ citation needed ] With the release of Elephant Sky in 2008, Simplified went to more of a pop style. [3] Between 2010 and 2013, Sheridan and Laster reinvented Simplified, bringing back the island rock sound they are known for, and also hired a variety of musicians to accompany them on the road and in the studio. Their song "Gettin' Home" was featured on the soundtrack of NASCAR The Game: Inside Line, [4] and five years later with new developers, NASCAR Heat 2. [5] In summer 2014, the band released their fourth studio album #WAKENBAKENATION which includes a recut studio version of the single "Wake N Bake" featuring an added horn section and a new gospel-style intro. In 2019,their 2011 song "Long Time Ago" was featured in NASCAR Heat 4.

Archers of Loaf is an American indie rock band originally formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 1991. The group toured extensively and released four studio albums, one compilation, numerous singles and EPs, and a live album which was released after the band broke up in 1998. In 2011 the band began a reunion tour that coincided with the reissue of four of its albums by Merge Records. In July 2022, the band announced the release of their first album in nearly 25 years, Reason in Decline, released also via Merge Records in October of the same year.
Theory of a Deadman is a Canadian rock band from North Delta, British Columbia. Formed in 1999, the band is currently signed to Roadrunner Records as well as 604 Records. The band includes traits of music styles, such as country and acoustic, in addition to their post-grunge and alternative rock foundation. Nine of their singles have entered the top ten of the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, including four songs that peaked at number one: "Bad Girlfriend", "Lowlife", "Rx (Medicate)" and "History of Violence".

WEND – branded 106.5 The End – is a commercial alternative rock radio station licensed to Salisbury, North Carolina, serving primarily the Charlotte metropolitan area, as well as parts of the Piedmont Triad. Owned by iHeartMedia, WEND is the local affiliate for Skratch 'N Sniff and the home of radio personalities, the Woody & Wilcox Show, Chris Rozak, and Divakar. The WEND studios are located in Charlotte, while the station transmitter resides in China Grove. Besides a standard analog transmission, WEND broadcasts in HD Radio, and is available online via iHeartRadio.
WRFX is a commercial radio station licensed to Kannapolis, North Carolina and serving the Charlotte metropolitan area. Owned by iHeartMedia, it airs a classic rock radio format, and calls itself "99.7 The Fox." The radio studios and offices are on Woodridge Center Drive in South Charlotte. WRFX is the flagship station for the John Boy and Billy Big Show, a nationally syndicated morning show heard around the country.
Rev Theory is an American rock band formed in 2002 in North Andover, Massachusetts. Carolina Actors Studio Theatre (CAST) was an independent non-profit theatre company located at 2424 North Davidson Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was founded in 1992 by Charlotte acting instructor Ed Gilweit as an actor's teaching school. In 2000 Gilweit's company partnered with a video and stage production company run by Michael Simmons called Victory Pictures, Inc., and then with the fledgling theatre group Another Roadside Performance Company run by Robert Lee Simmons, Michael Simmons' son. Through this series of mergers, Gilweit and the Simmons' became the founders of the Carolina Actors Studio Theatre. After Gilweit's death in 2002, Michael Simmons became the Managing Artistic Director.

Chuck Ellis, legally known as Charles Ellis, was born December 15, 1985, in Charlotte, North Carolina, by the name Jeremy Eli Nicholas to parents Bill Nicholas and his mother, Gwendolyn. Ellis is an American songwriter, vocalist, and music producer. He was given the name Current when adopted at age 9 by his stepfather and later released an EP and a full-length album under the name Jeremy Current. Ellis lives in Los Angeles, California, where he writes and performs. He moved to California to pursue a songwriting agreement with Skrillex in 2014 and now resides in Hollywood.
