Singapore Township is an integrated township located in Pocharam Municipality, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Actual name of this township is Sanskruti Township. It is a joint venture between Andhra Pradesh Housing Board and a Singapore government body. [1] [2] The IT major, Infosys and Genpact has their campus close to the township.

Singapore Township has recorded the highest rainfall ever in Telangana about 32.3 cm within 24 hours.

It was planned to have 1600 apartments at the launch of the project. Currently it has total 2080 apartments. Categorised as

Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao, better known and abbreviated as KCR , is an Indian politician serving as the first and current Chief Minister of Telangana since 2014. He is the leader and Founder of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, a regional party in India. He is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (Telangana) from the Gajwel constituency of Siddipet District in Telangana. Previously, he served as the Member of the Legislative Assembly from Siddipet and also as the Member of Parliament from Mahbubnagar, Karimnagar and Medak. He took oath as the first Chief Minister of the new state of Telangana on 2 June 2014. He went for early elections in 2018, when his cabinet recommended to dissolve the legislative lower house, Nine months before the completion of his term. Telangana movement

The Telangana movement refers to a movement for the creation of a new state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The new state corresponds to the Telugu-speaking portions of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad. After several years of protest and agitation, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state and on 7 February 2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. Lasting for almost a decade, this has been one of the most longlasting movements in South India. On 18 February 2014, the Lok Sabha passed the bill with a voice vote. Subsequently, the bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha two days later, on 20 February. As per the bill, Hyderabad would be the capital of Telangana, while the city would also remain the capital of residual state of Andhra Pradesh for no more than ten years. On 2 June 2014, Telangana was created.

On 28 June 2014, an eleven-story under-construction building at Moulivakkam in the suburb of Chennai, Tamil Nadu collapsed due to lighting strike, killing 61 people, mostly construction workers.

Double Bedroom Housing scheme or 2BHK scheme is a housing project created by the Government of Telangana. The scheme aims to make the city of Hyderabad a slum-free city by providing government funding for housing in rural and urban areas. The plan provides 2.72 lakh by March 2019, followed by an additional 3 lakh by 2024. To date, no 2BHK houses have been allotted, except in Erravalli village.
