Sirkka Sokka-Matikainen is a retired Finnish athlete who competes in compound archery. Her achievements include a bronze medal at the 2001 World Archery Championships, a team silver medal at the 2002 European Archery Championships and becoming the world number one ranked archer in September 2002. Sirkka Tellervo "Telle" Polkunen, was a Finnish cross-country skier who competed at the 1952 and 1956 Olympics. She won a gold medal in the 3 × 5 km relay in 1956 and placed fifth and eighth in the individual 10 km event in 1952 and 1956, respectively. Polkunen also won a silver medal in the 3 × 5 km relay at the 1954 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and finished sixth in the 10 km at those championships.

Pentti Matikainen is a Finnish hockey coach and general manager. He was selected the SM-liiga coach of the year in 1984. As the coach of the Finnish national ice hockey team, he led Finland to silver medals in the 1988 Winter Olympics and the 1992 World Championships, and to third place in the 1991 Canada Cup. Matikainen was the coach of HIFK from 1987 to 1990 and its CEO from 2001 to 2008.
