Sissela Nordling Blanco (born 5 April 1988) is a Swedish politician, who served as spokesperson of the Feminist Initiative party from March 2011 to 2016, serving together with Carl Emanuelsson, Stina Svensson, and Gudrun Schyman.

Born in 1988 in Uppsala, Nordling Blanco grew up there and in Temuco, Chile. [1] Her maternal grandfather is Hugo Blanco, a Peruvian left-wing peasant leader, former presidential candidate, and socialist member of parliament. Blanco came to Sweden as a political refugee in 1976, [2] where his daughter Carmen Blanco Valer (born 1959) grew up and, among other things, became Chairperson of Solidarity Sweden-Latin America. Chosen as spokesperson of the feminist political party Feminist Initiative in March 2011, Sissela Nordling Blanco is a candidate for the Riksdag in the September 2014 general election. She lives in Stockholm, where she, in addition to her political work, is a project leader for Fanzingo, a media house for youths in Alby, Botkyrka Municipality. Nordling Blanco has previously worked as a graphic designer and lecturer, and with the feminist and anti-racist think tank Interfem. She was an editor for the book Makthandbok för unga feminister som (be)möter rasism och sexism i föreningslivet published in 2009, and again for its second edition in 2011. [1] [4]
She is also one of the founders of the anti-racist and queer feminist festival Uppsala Pride, which she helped organize in 2007-2009.
Alva Myrdal was a Swedish sociologist, diplomat and politician. She was a prominent leader of the disarmament movement. She, along with Alfonso García Robles, received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1982. She married Gunnar Myrdal in 1924; he received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1974, making them the fourth ever married couple to have won Nobel Prizes, and the first to win independent of each other.

Gerd Gudrun Maria Schyman is a Swedish politician. She served as leader of the Swedish Left Party from 1993 until January 2003. She remained a member of the Left Party until 2004, when she left to focus entirely on her feminist political work after a tax evasion scandal. She remained an independent member of the Riksdag until 2006. She co-founded Feminist Initiative in 2005 and was its co-spokesperson from 2005 to 2011 and from 2013 to 2019. She left the party in 2022.

Françoise David is a former spokesperson of Québec solidaire – a left-wing, feminist, and sovereigntist political party in the province of Quebec, Canada. She was elected to serve as the Member of the National Assembly of Quebec for the riding of Gouin in the 2012 Quebec election, and then again in the 2014 Quebec election. Quebec Solidaire was born from the merger of Option Citoyenne with l'Union des Forces Progressistes. She is the author of the book/manifesto Bien commun recherché – une option citoyenne which attempts to combine the concepts of "common good", social justice, ecology and economic democracy into a coherent political doctrine. On January 19, 2017, Françoise David announced her immediate retirement as both party spokesperson and as a Member of the National Assembly due to her health.

The party was formed in 2005 from a pressure group of the same name, and has since taken part in every election to the Riksdag and the European Parliament. The party won its first elected representative in 2014, with Soraya Post taking one seat in the European Parliament.

Soraya Viola Heléna Post is a Swedish politician who was a member of European Parliament from Sweden. She is a member of the Feminist Initiative, part of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats.
Paula Bieler Eriksson is a Swedish former politician for the Sweden Democrats (SD) party. She became a member of the party in 2009. In November 2013 Bieler became an elected member of Sweden Democrats party council. In the 2014 Swedish general election, Bieler was the party's number six national candidate for the Riksdag, and was elected a member of the Riksdag. Since April 2014 Bieler has also been the party's official political spokesman on gender and gay rights. On 11 February 2020, Bieler revealed that she was leaving the Riksdag in an interview with the Swedish tabloid Expressen. Shortly afterwards the podcast Lögnarnas Tempel revealed that she has also left the Sweden Democrats.
