Skyla Talon is an American hard rock guitarist, singer-songwriter and record producer. Skyla is the vocalist/guitar player in Modelsaint. He is also known for his role as the guitarist in Scum of the Earth which is fronted by Riggs, formerly of Rob Zombie. Talon is also the founding member of Killingbird and Blackburner.

Biography

Early life

Skyla grew up in Mount Pleasant, Michigan and started playing guitar at an early age. Skyla soon moved to Los Angeles [1] where he formed the gutter rock band Killingbird. In 2002 they were signed to 2KSounds [2] and distributed by EMI Music. Killingbird released two albums in the next couple years including their self-titled release and Waste Another Yesterday. In 2004 Skyla's first solo CD was released titled All The Dead Flowers. [3] In 2005 Skyla joined Scum of the Earth which is fronted by former Rob Zombie guitarist, Riggs. In 2007 he helped record their second album Sleaze Freak . [4] With addition to guitar, Skyla's vocals are featured on the fan fave songI Am Monster. He continued to tour with Scum of the Earth up through 2008. In 2009 Skyla Talon released multiple albums under Cleopatra Records including his side-project The Rotten Bastards and also a new solo album Last of Summertime.

Skyla Talon is currently the vocalist/guitarist in the band Modelsaint which also features former Prong drummer Dan Laudo.

In a Pit Magazine interview, vocalist Dax Riggs classified their sound as "death rock". In another interview, guitarist Sammy Duet described their sound as "gothic hardcore". They broke up after the death of bassist Audie Pitre in a traffic collision in January 1997.

John Tempesta is an American drummer known for his work in hard rock and heavy metal. He has been a member of the Cult since 2006. Previously, Tempesta played with several bands including Exodus, Testament and White Zombie. He worked with former White Zombie singer Rob Zombie as a solo artist and served as drum technician for Charlie Benante, drummer for the heavy metal band Anthrax earlier in his career. He is referenced in Anthrax's rendition of "Friggin' in the Riggin'", with lyrics about the band's crew members. Additionally he also played the role of the "Not Man" during Anthrax's early live shows footage of which can be seen in the "Antisocial" music video.

The Sinister Urge is the second solo studio album from former White Zombie frontman Rob Zombie. The album is the follow up to his highly successful debut album Hellbilly Deluxe, released in 1998. The album was released by Geffen Records on November 13, 2001, more than three years after the release of his first album. The album's title is named after the 1961 crime drama film The Sinister Urge, directed and written by Ed Wood. Much like his previous effort, The Sinister Urge features elements of horror film and suspense in both its lyrical content and its music.
