Blackburner is an American electronic music duo. Blackburner combines elements of dubstep, metal, and electronica. A buzz started for Blackburner by remixing tracks and releasing original compositions through Cleopatra Records, initially placing Blackburner alongside dubstep artists such as Rusko, Nero and Dubba Jonny. [2]

Blackburner’s debut album, Feel the Burn, featured guest appearances by Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream, as well as John Wesley of Porcupine Tree. The single "Freak You" was used on a national Verizon FIOS Quantum advertisement, [3] and on NBC’s hit competition program America's Got Talent .

In the summer of 2012, Blackburner was asked to support industrial group Ministry on their AEG [4] (Anschutz Entertainment Group) American tour. They also appeared at SXSW 2012. [5] During this time, Blackburner met William Shatner [6] briefly, inspiring Skyla to write a sci-fi driven album, Planet Earth Attack . [7]

"Bassline" is a song by American recording artist Chris Brown, taken from his fifth studio album Fortune (2012). It was written by Andrea Simms, Andrew "Pop" Wansel, Brown, David Johnson, Robert Calloway, Ronald "Flippa" Colson and Warren "Oak" Felder. The song was produced by Pop Wansel and Dayvi Jae. Kyle Hagberg, better known by his stage name Kompany, is a Los Angeles-based dubstep producer. He is known for his releases on the British record label Never Say Die, including his Revolt, New Reign, and Metropolis extended plays and his various collaborations with other Never Say Die artists.

Adam Puleo, better known by his alias Wooli, is an American riddim and dubstep DJ and producer. He is known for the songs "Island" and "Another Me", with the prior being a collaboration with American dubstep producers Seven Lions and Trivecta and the latter being a collaboration with Seven Lions and Canadian producer and DJ Excision. "Island" peaked at the No. 20 position on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in early 2019. "Another Me" peaked on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at the No. 46 position in late 2019.
