The Sligo County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Sligo GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Sligo. The county board is also responsible for the Sligo county teams.

Michael Davitt's GAC Swatragh is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Swatragh, Northern Ireland. The club is a member of the Derry GAA and currently caters for Gaelic football, hurling and camogie. The club is named after republican patriot and revolutionary Michael Davitt.
Trinity Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Donaghmede in Dublin, Ireland. Trinity Gaels were founded in 1975 to cater for the growing population in the Donaghmede area. The club got their name from the local Roman Catholic parish name, the parish of the Holy Trinity. Gaels won the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship in 1994 and therefore qualified to senior status. For the past few seasons Gaels have been playing in Division 1 of the league. Trinity Gaels played in Fr Collins Park, Hole in the Wall Road, until the middle of the 2006 season when they moved to new purpose-built grounds including clubhouse and floodlit pitches on Drumnigh Road. A book entitled "Trinity Gaels – a look back through the last years", was launched at the Hilton Hotel, Malahide Road on 15 January 2007 to celebrate 30 years of the club's existence.
Sligo Intermediate Football Championship is an annual second tier Gaelic Athletic Association competition between Gaelic football clubs organised by Sligo GAA. The trophy presented to the winners is the Joe McMorrow Cup. The winning club qualifies to represent its GAA county in the Connacht Intermediate Club Football Championship and in turn, goes on to the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship.
Annaghdown GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA and was founded in 1887. Underage teams in both hurling and football play in the Galway league and championships. Annaghdown are a dual club and cater for Gaelic football, hurling and Ladies football. There was a camogie club in the parish in times past when Corrandrum fielded a team, but the ladies of the parish now play camogie with Carnmore, Turloughmore or Castlegar clubs.
The Sligo Senior Football League is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club league competition between the top Sligo clubs, operating in Division 1 of the league. The Senior League has been divided in two since 2004, with Division 1 comprising the leading eight sides, with the remainder in Division 1B, now known as Division 2.
The Sligo Football League is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club league competition between the lower ranking Sligo clubs, operating in Division 3 of the league. Since its inception in 1979 up to 2003, it was regarded as Division 2 of the league. Since 2004 this has been altered, with a number of Intermediate teams playing in the higher Divisions, and Division 2 itself was split in 2006, into Division 2A and Division 2B. The Divisions have been renamed for 2008, and are now Divisions 1 to 5.
Ballyhegan Davitts GAA Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in central County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is affiliated with the Armagh GAA and is based in the parish of Kilmore which has two ends: Mullavilly and Stonebridge. It currently competes in football, at under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 levels, and its senior team competes in the Armagh Intermediate Football Championship and in the Intermediate Division of the All-County League. The club is named after the Irish patriot and agrarian leader, Michael Davitt (1846-1906).
Calry-St Joseph's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Calry and the northern ward of Sligo, Éire. The club was formerly known as Calry Gaels until it became Calry-St Joseph's in 1987 after a re-organisation of the GAA structures in the Sligo urban area. They have won the last 7 Sligo Senior Hurling Championships and played in 12 of the last 13 finals, winning in 2005 until 2009 and again from 2011 to 2017. In 2009 they won the Connacht Junior Club Hurling Championship beating Galway side Skehana 1-09 to 0-10 in the final having lost to them the year before and they repeated that feat again in 2012 by beating the same opposition from before, Skehana. They followed up that victory with a double double by winning both Provincial and County Championships in 2013. The club's most recent victory in the Connacht Junior Hurling Championship came in 2016. Reduced to 13 men, with two players sent off, they clawed back a deficit of 5 points to tie the match and go on to beat Micheál Breathnach of the Galway Gaeltacht in extra-time, 3-9 to 2-10. They won the Sligo Intermediate Football Championship in 2004 & 2014 and came Runners Up in 1988, 1990 & 2013 and won Sligo Junior Football Championship in 1976 & 1987 and were Runners Up in 1983 & 1984.
Aherlow GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in County Tipperary in Ireland, established in 1885, within a year of the GAA's foundation. The club plays Gaelic football at senior, under-21, junior, minor and underage levels in the West Tipperary Division and all-county competitions of Tipperary GAA. The club also fields hurling teams, and plays Ladies' Gaelic football. The club is centred on the village of Lisvernane and surrounding Glen of Aherlow, approximately eight miles east of Tipperary town. Club players, who have played for the Tipperary senior football team, have included Ciarán McDonald and Barry Grogan. The club has joined forces with the intermediate football team Lattin-Cullen GAA for the senior football championship. This combination team, known as Aherlow Gaels, won the 2016 West Tipperary divisional title by defeating Galtee Rovers.
Naomh Molaise Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club covering much of the northern area of County Sligo, comprising Cliffoney (Ahamlish) and part of the Drumcliffe/Maugherow parishes. The club is a combination of a number of older clubs, including Grange, Cliffoney and Maugherow, and had fielded as Grange–Cliffoney before adopting the present name in 2003. Currently the champions of the Dr Taheny Cup for the minor A championship, a first-time achievement for the club.
St. John's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Carraroe and the eastern ward of Sligo, Republic of Ireland. It is one of the newer clubs in the county, having been formed in 1987 after a re-organisation of the GAA structures in the Sligo urban area. The club's grounds, formerly known as Cuilbeg, have been renamed Stenson Park in memory of legendary Sligo player and Curry/St. John's club man Johnny Stenson, and were formally opened in October 2012 by GAA President Liam O'Neill.

Its origins date back to the formation of the GAA in Sligo in 1885, when the Collooney Fontenoys club was formed. It went under a number of names, including Collooney Harps and Collooney/Ballisodare, before the current name was adopted in 1976.

The 2019 Sligo Senior Football Championship is the 114th edition of the Sligo GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior graded teams in County Sligo, Ireland. The tournament consists of 10 teams, with the winner going on to represent Sligo in the Connacht Senior Club Football Championship. The championship starts with a group stage and then progresses to a knock out stage.
