MTV Unplugged is an American television series on MTV showcasing musical artists usually playing acoustic instruments. The show aired regularly from 1989 to 1999. The show aired less frequently from 2000 to 2009, usually billed as MTV Unplugged No. 2.0. Since 2009 MTV Unplugged specials have aired occasionally, sometimes online-only. Episodes and specials have tended to showcase one artist or group, playing a combination of their hit songs and covers.

All tracks were originally sold in 256 kilobits-per-second variable bitrate MP3 format without per-customer watermarking or DRM; however, some tracks are now watermarked. Licensing agreements with recording companies restrict which countries music can be sold.
We Lost the Skyline is a live recording by Porcupine Tree, recorded during an in-store performance at Park Avenue CDs in Orlando, Florida on the 4th October 2007, with 200 fans in attendance. Although it was originally planned that the full band would play, lack of space dictated that only the two guitarists/singers Steven Wilson and John Wesley did. This one-off performance was captured by a remote recording facility and the complete 8 song, 33 minute show is now being released in a mail order only CD, but the band are currently negotiating a low-key release for the CD through a number of independent stores in the USA that have supported Porcupine Tree over the last few years. However, the CD was released in Poland in small quantity.
byron is an alternative rock band formed in 2006 in Bucharest, Romania. Dan Byron, former guest of Agathodaimon and ex-member of Urma and Kumm, initially wanted to start a solo project, but it soon developed into an actual band. Their music is hard to define; it would best be described as art-rock / adult-alternative with a lot of influences from different musical areas, mostly blues, progressive rock and jazz. All lyrics are written in English and touch aspects of modern man’s condition.

The album features a selection of her greatest hits, along with new tracks, including the singles "El Presente" and "Algún Día". Beatsound Loverboy is the debut studio album by Portuguese singer-songwriter Slimmy. Slimmy started working on the album with his longtime producers Quico Serrano and Mark J Turner. Other two producers joined Slimmy for the recording of the album: Saul Davies and Rodolfo Cardoso. The relationship between Slimmy and the other producers was always good and Slimmy feels that that provided a good production for the album. He mentioned that he started to compose and write songs in 2000, than record them and play them alive. However, the project only began to take concrete steps, when Slimmy, in 2004, moved to London. The album was released on September 17, 2007 in Portugal. The album was released in two formats: the physical edition, featuring 11 tracks; and the digital edition also featuring 11 tracks. In summer 2007 Slimmy returned to Portugal to promote his projects because he felt that he wasn't recognized in his country.

"You Should Never Leave Me " is a song by Slimmy, released in 2008 as the third and final single from his debut album Beatsound Loverboy. The song peaked at number 48 in the Portugal Singles Chart, making it Slimmy's lowest charted single to date. "You Should Never Leave Me was part of the soundtrack of the 6th season of the same soap opera.
"I Can't Live Without You In This Town" is a song by Portuguese recording artist Slimmy from his second studio album, Be Someone Else (2010). It was written by Slimmy, while Slimmy was on road for "Sex and Love Tour". "I Can't Live Without You In This Town" was inspired by a girl Slimmy met in Texas in 2004. The song was featured on the eighth season of the Portuguese TV series Morangos com Açúcar in 2011.
MTV Unplugged is an extended play (EP) and live album by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, released in the United States on August 19, 2011 by Virgin Records. It features an acoustic performance taped at Sony Music Studios in New York City on May 13 of that year for the television series MTV Unplugged. The show's purpose is to present name artists, and feature them stripped of studio equipment. The performance was accompanied by musicians from the Vitamin String Quartet, a gospel choir and included the contribution of the band's fans.
MTV Unplugged is the second live album by English indie rock band Florence and the Machine, released on 6 April 2012 by Island Records. It was filmed on 15 December 2011 in New York City's oldest synagogue building, the Angel Orensanz Center, as part of the MTV Unplugged series, with the band being backed by a ten-person choir. The album contains acoustic performances of eleven songs, nine from the band's two studio albums, Lungs (2009) and Ceremonials (2011) alongside a cover of "Jackson" with Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme and "Try a Little Tenderness". Upon its release, MTV Unplugged received mixed to positive reviews by music critics.
Unplugged: The Complete 1991 and 2001 Sessions is a 2014 live album from alternative rock band R.E.M., released initially on vinyl recordings through Rhino Records for Record Store Day, later made available on compact disc and digitally. The album is composed of two performances that the band made on the U.S. television show MTV Unplugged. Among the album's 33 tracks are 11 performances which were not aired on either broadcast. To promote the album, Mike Mills signed copies at independent record store Bull Moose in Scarborough, Maine. Video of the concerts was released later that year on REMTV.
Unplugged is a live album by Malaysian recording artist Siti Nurhaliza. It was released in multiple formats, both physical and digital in Malaysia on 30 June 2015. The main live tracks were all taken from her 2015 unplugged concert at Istana Budaya on 7 April 2015. The CD, digital download and LP record versions of the album however come with three new bonus songs, "Menatap dalam Mimpi", "Engkau" ("You") and "Mikraj Cinta". All were recorded specifically to accompany the three audio releases.
