Lynsey de Paul was an English singer-songwriter and producer. She had chart hits in the UK and Europe in the 1970s, starting with the UK top 10 single "Sugar Me", becoming the first British female artist to achieve a number one with a self-written song. She represented the UK in the 1977 Eurovision Song Contest, scoring another chart-topping hit in Switzerland and had a successful career as a two-time Ivor Novello Award-winning composer, record producer, actress and television celebrity.
Boom Boom Satellites were a Japanese electronic music duo consisting of guitarist and vocalist Michiyuki Kawashima and bassist and programmer Masayuki Nakano. They were signed to Sony Music Entertainment Japan, with whom they had released all of their albums in Japan.

The Procrastinator is an album by jazz trumpeter Lee Morgan released posthumously on the Blue Note label, featuring performances by Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Billy Higgins. It was originally issued in 1978 as a double LP featuring tracks recorded in three different sessions: July 1967, September 1969 and October 1969. Alongside the US-issue there was a single album release in Japan the same year titled Lee Morgan All-Star Sextet, which only comprised the session of 1967 (ST-83023/GXF-3023). The first and remastered CD release, that came out in 1995 as part of the Blue Note "Connoisseur Series", included only this session. The remaining tracks of the original double album have been finally issued on CD in 1998 in Japan, then in 2003 in the US, as bonus tracks on Sonic Boom.

1997 - 2007 is the first greatest hits album from Japanese electronica/rock duo Boom Boom Satellites released on January 27, 2010. The two-disc album compiles the first 10 years of their music with tracks released between 1997 and 2007. A limited edition DVD version was also released containing recordings of live performances and music videos. An alternate best of was released for the American market titled Over and Over to coincide with a series of tourdates in United States. It is a single-disc retooling of 19972007 with a truncated track list.

Surprise is the first album released by Lynsey de Paul on the MAM record label in 1973. In Australia, the album name was changed to Sugar Me, after de Paul's first hit single. The album front cover is a portrait photo of de Paul photographed by Clive Arrowsmith, and a gatefold sleeve with illustrations provided by de Paul, a nod to her previous career of designing album sleeves and song lyrics. It received favourable reviews from the mainstream music press with adverts proclaiming "the first album from this enormously talented artist" being placed in most of them. Gramophone (magazine) stated "she has a neatly effective knack of songwriting and puts the numbers across in a competent manner. The Sunday Herald wrote "...her first album, Surprise, demonstrated a ready facility for melody and catchy hooks, but also a knack for sidestepping the most predictable pop clichés."
