Slow Charm is the seventh studio album by the American rock band The Figgs. It was released on September 10, 2002 by Hearbox/Good Land. Slow Charm was recorded and mixed between May 2001 and March 2002 at Peligro Audio-NYC, Green St. House-NH, Bricktown-Norristown, PA, and The Amazing Barn-Conshaken, PA. It was produced by Tim O’Heir, Pete Donnelly, and The Figgs and mixed by Donnelly, Dave Minehan, and Mike Gent at Minehan’s Wooly Mammoth-Boston, MA. [2]
The Figgs are a rock ‘n’ roll band formed in Saratoga Springs, New York in 1987. Originally known as The Sonic Undertones, their output includes thirteen studio albums and multiple EPs and singles. They’ve served as the backing band for rock and roll legend Graham Parker on and off since 1996 and also toured with Tommy Stinson of The Replacements fame.

WFNX was an alternative rock radio station in Boston, Massachusetts, that operated as a commercial broadcast radio station from 1983 until July 24, 2012, and as an internet-only stream from October 30, 2012 to March 19, 2013. WFNX was owned by the Phoenix Media/Communications Group and was promoted as the broadcast cousin of the Boston Phoenix, the Boston area's former alternative media newspaper. The station ceased broadcast following the shutting down of the Boston Phoenix the previous week.

Tom and Jerry: The Movie is a 1992 American/German animated musical buddy comedy film starring the seven-time Academy Award-winning cat-and-mouse duo Tom and Jerry. Although largely mute in the original cartoons, the duo talked extensively in this film. Joseph Barbera, co-founder of Hanna-Barbera and co-creator of Tom and Jerry, served as creative consultant for the film. The film tells the story about Tom and Jerry, who become homeless after their home was wrecked, they meet and help a little girl escape from her child-hating and abusive aunt in order to find her lost and presumed dead father.

Pete Donnelly is an American bass player, singer, songwriter and founding member of The Figgs. Born in Saratoga Springs, New York, Donnelly is based in Philadelphia. In November 2007 Donnelly began playing with keyboardist Terry Adams, a founder of NRBQ, in the Terry Adams Rock & Roll Quartet. Adams rechristened the band NRBQ in March 2011. Donnelly played in the group until September 2012. Donnelly has also worked with Soul Asylum, Tommy Stinson, Mike Viola and the Candy Butchers and others. In 2015, Grammy Winning artist Shelby Lynne released her album, I Can't Imagine, the title track was co-written by Donnelly.
Mike Gent is an American songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist in The Figgs, in which he has performed since 1987. Gent also played with Graham Parker and Candy Butchers.

The Million Dollar Hotel: Music from the Motion Picture is the soundtrack to the 2000 film The Million Dollar Hotel. The album was released alongside the film in March 2000, and featured Bono as its executive producer, with new music from U2 and other artists.
The Neighborhoods are a Boston rock band formed in 1978. The band earned local fame by playing regularly at Boston venues such as The Rat and winning the WBCN Rock 'n' Roll Rumble in 1979. Their 1980 debut single, "Prettiest Girl" was a local hit. The band broke up for a short time between 1980-1981, but reformed in 1982 with bassist Lee Harrington and went on to release 5 albums between 1984-1991. In 1987 they opened for David Bowie on his Glass Spider tour at Sullivan Stadium in Foxborough, MA and later toured with the Ramones in '87, Cheap Trick in '90 and Tin Machine in '91. In 1992 they decided to disband and played what was supposed to be their farewell show at The Rat. A recording of that show was released in 2010 as a double live CD with Brad Whitford of Aerosmith guesting on 2 songs. Whitford produced the band's 1990 and 1991 albums. The band reformed in 2003 with Minehan, Harrington and Johnny "Rock" Lynch and continues to play shows today. In 2005, the band was inducted into the Boston Music Awards Hall of Fame and in 2006, their song "Parasite" was featured on the Guitar Hero 2 game and soundtrack. The band is currently working on a new studio album at David Minehan's Woolly Mammoth Sound Studios in Waltham, MA.
Now Hear This... is the debut album by American rock band The Split Squad. Featuring the lineup of Clem Burke, Michael Giblin, Josh Kantor, Eddie Munoz, and Keith Streng, it was released on January 21, 2014 on Red Chuck records and features contributions from Scott McCaughey and Peter Buck of R.E.M. and The Baseball Project, Hugo Burnham of Gang of Four and Mike Gent of The Figgs.
On The Slide, the 13th studio album by the American rock band The Figgs, was released on May 13, 2016 on Stomper, a year after their acclaimed “Other Planes Of Here.” It was recorded and mixed by Ducky Carlisle, Pete Donnelly, and Mike Gent at Ice Station Zebra, Soundcheck Republic, Moontower, and Westmont Station. Guests include longtime Figgs collaborators John Powhida and Ted Collins. On The Slide was rated one of the Top 10 Local Albums of 2016 by The Daily Gazette.
