Pooja Bhatt is an Indian film director, actress, voice-over artist and filmmaker. Born into the Bhatt family, she is the daughter of Indian filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt. Bhatt played her first leading role in Mahesh Bhatt's television film Daddy in 1989. For the film, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Awarapan (transl. Vagrancy) is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language neo-noir action drama film directed by Mohit Suri and written by Shagufta Rafique, from a story by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. It stars Emraan Hashmi, Shriya Saran, Mrinalini Sharma, and Ashutosh Rana. In the film, gangster Shivam Pandit (Hashmi) is ordered by his boss Bharat Malik (Rana) to watch over Reema (Sharma), Malik's secret Pakistani mistress. It was flop at the time of its release but over the years the film has attained a cult status, primarily due to Hashmi's performance. An uncredited remake of the South Korean film A Bittersweet Life, Awarapan was theatrically released in India and worldwide on 29 June 2007. Despite receiving positive reviews from critics, it was a commercial failure, but eventually came to be regarded as one of Hashmi's best works. The film was praised for the cast performance, musical scores, songs, action sequences, plot and dialogues. But the film got less runtime due to excessive and brutal violence in the film.
Jannat (transl. Heaven) is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language romantic crime film directed by Kunal Deshmukh, and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. The film stars Emraan Hashmi opposite Sonal Chauhan in lead roles. It released on 16 May 2008 and was a success worldwide, receiving positive response from critics, it is the first installment of Jannat film series.
Raaz: The Mystery Continues, shortened as RTMC, is 2009 Indian Hindi-language supernatural horror film directed by Mohit Suri and starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Adhyayan Suman as well as Jackie Shroff in a special appearance. The film is the second installment in the Raaz series, but the story-line is not a direct sequel to the 2002 film Raaz. Hamari Adhuri Kahani is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mahesh Bhatt under the banners of Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios. The film marks Mahesh Bhatt's return as a director after 20 years. The film's story takes place twenty-nine years after the events of its predecessor.
