Reception

The single received generally positive reviews. AAA Music described the song as "an angry tune boosting a QOTSA sound alike intro, made of sharp guitars", [1] while ATTN:Magazine said "all in all this is a promising start, and vocalist Steve Hewitt has done well to avoid sounding too much like Placebo." [3] God Is in the TV gave the single 3/5. [4]

"Drumming Song" is a song by the English indie rock band Florence and the Machine. The song was released on Island Records on 13 September 2009 in the UK as the fourth single from the band's first album Lungs. The song was the band's second consecutive single to be A-listed on BBC Radio 1. It was the band's fourth single to enter the top 75 on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at #54 during its week of physical release. The B-side is a demo version of "Falling" a track which appears only on the deluxe edition of Lungs. Love Amongst Ruin are an English rock supergroup, led by former Placebo drummer Steve Hewitt. The band released their self-titled debut album in September 2010 and second album Lose Your Way was released in June 2015.

Barry Wickens

Barry Wickens is a British musician, multi-instrumentalist and composer. Primarily a violinist and guitarist, he also plays mandolin, viola, Appalachian dulcimer (psaltery), dobro and keyboards. He is best known for being one of the longest-serving members of Steve Harley's rock group Cockney Rebel, and for being a former member of the pop group Immaculate Fools. He is also a violin teacher for Brighton & Hove Music & Arts.
