The Social Security Organization (SSO) is a social insurance organization in Iran which provides coverage of wage-earners and salaried workers as well as voluntary coverage of self-employed persons. In 1975, the laws Social Security Law [2] was approved and the SSO was established. [3]
Iran did not legislate in favor of a universal social protection, but in 1996, the Center for Statistics of Iran [4] estimated that more than 73% of the Iranian population was covered by social security. [5] Membership in the social security system is compulsory for all employees. [6]
SSO is a non-governmental organization and it is solely financed by contributions (with the participation of insured (7%), employer (20–23%) and government (3%)). [3] [7] [8] Social protection is extended to the self-employed workers, who voluntarily contribute between 12% and 18% of income depending on the protection sought. Civil servants, the regular military, Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran's second major military organization, have their own pension systems.
The government debt for social security is 660000 billion toman in 2023, the government seventh development program changed age of retirement to 65 / 70 years old and required work from 30 years to 40 years. The government offered to sell Qeshm Island, Kisha Island, Khuzestan province. [9] [10] [11]

It is possible people 60 years old and above who have record history of less than 10 year of social security pension insurance payment upon an early retirement program may receive 10 days out of 30 days payment per month. [13]

The Law Enforcement Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran, previously known as the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran or Disciplinary Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, abbreviated as Faraja, is the uniformed police force in Iran. The force was created in early 1992 by merging the Shahrbani, Gendarmerie, and Islamic Revolutionary Committees into a single force. India has a robust social security legislative framework governing social security, encompassing multiple labour laws and regulations. These laws govern various aspects of social security, particularly focusing on the welfare of the workforce. The primary objective of these measures is to foster sound industrial relations, cultivate a high-quality work environment, ensure legislative compliance, and mitigate risks such as accidents and health concerns. Moreover, social security initiatives aim to safeguard against social risks such as retirement, maternity, healthcare and unemployment while tax-funded social assistance aims to reduce inequalities and poverty. The Directive Principles of State Policy, enshrined in Part IV of the Indian Constitution reflects that India is a welfare state. The Iran Technical and Vocational Training Organization or in brief I.R.T.V.T.O is one of the organizations affiliated to the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, which was formed from the merger of three educational institutions in 1980 in order to provide technical and vocational education. In addition to the central headquarters, this organization has 31 general administrations in provinces of Iran, an instructor training center, 552 Learning Center and over 11700 free technical and vocational schools. In order to achieve the latest science and technology news and to comply with international standards, the organization always tried to expand international relations, including with the International Labour Organization and the International Organization for Vocational Training in other countries. In this regard, the organization, regardless of the interpretation of the overall organizational structure, carries out its activities only in the field of education, with the support of the research field.

The State Welfare Organization of Iran, also known as the Behzisti Organization, is a working organization under the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare. Established after the 1979 revolution, the organization mainly works towards the betterment, rehabilitation, and improvement of the lives of disabled people, people in need of care, and orphaned children. It supervises and runs special needs education, addiction treatments and offers suicide awareness events.
The Iranian government budget for financial year of 2024-2025 was developed in November 2023. It is the first budget on seventh quininal development program with total spending becoming 2462000 billion. Oil budget is reduced %6. The budget is high deficit.
