The Iran Technical and Vocational Training Organization or in brief I.R.T.V.T.O is one of the organizations affiliated to the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, which was formed from the merger of three educational institutions in 1980 in order to provide technical and vocational education. [2] [3] In addition to the central headquarters, this organization has 31 general administrations in provinces of Iran, an instructor training center, 552 Learning Center and over 11700 free technical and vocational schools. In order to achieve the latest science and technology news and to comply with international standards, the organization always tried to expand international relations, including with the International Labour Organization and the International Organization for Vocational Training in other countries. In this regard, the organization, regardless of the interpretation of the overall organizational structure, carries out its activities only in the field of education, with the support of the research field. The roots of the formation of the Technical and Vocational Training Organization of Iran go back to the approval of the internship and skills increase regulations on January 17, 1961 by the Supreme Labor Council of Iran. [7] [8]
After Iranian Revolution, the organization was formed in 1980 by merge of three educational units include the General Directorate of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Internship Fund and the Internship Center, called the Technical Education and Manpower Organization. In 1981, it was renamed to current name Technical and Vocational Training Organization of the country. [7] [9] [10] [11]
The Iran Technical and Vocational Training Organization is one of affiliated government agency of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare and it consists of the following three main cores: [9]
The main mission of the organization is skills training, research, production of educational standards and labor force evaluation. The Technical and Vocational Education Organization of the country, with the help of 552 permanent training centers and with the support of 11,700 private schools and 21,000 instructors, annually provides educational services to approximately 1.5 million people in both the public and private section. [7]
The target groups of the organization for skills training are: job seekers, employees (enterprises - unions and guilds), students and university graduates, conscripts, residents of deprived and country borders areas, vulnerable groups (Including female-headed households and working children), housewives, people with disabilities, villagers, nomads, prisoners and their families, recovering addicts, the socially disadvantaged, foreign nationals and refugees, and educators from other countries. The Instructor Training and Research Center [13] of the organization is one of the unique educational centers in the Middle East which through its 16 specialized departments, acts as a research and development unit of the organization and prepare background to transfer knowledge and application of new technologies. So far the organization has managed to holding 18 national skill competitions with the presence of more than 10,000 competitors from all over the Iran country. These acts led to prepare the national skills team and finally 9 participation in international competitions. [7] [17] [18] [19]
Also cooperation with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Japan International Cooperation Agency, [20] Korea International Cooperation Agency, UNESCO, [21] United Nations Industrial Development Organization, [22] UNEVOC [16] and BIBB [23] is another international initiative. [7]
The National University of Skills (NUS) includes higher education that runs all technical/vocational colleges across the country. The main objective of this University, training technicians in the majors technical. 4/5 of majors are belongs to Associate degree and 1/5 belongs to Bachelor's degree.
Sama Technical and Vocational Training College of Mashhad is a college affiliated with Islamic Azad University, Mashhad Branch. It was established in 2003 and provides associate degree programs and technical courses in accounting and computer science.
Order of Merit and Management is an Iranian state expertise order established by "Council of Iran Ministers" in November 21, 1990. The order has three classes, and awarded by President of Iran. According to Article 9 of the Regulations on the Awarding of Government Orders of Iran, the Order of Merit and Management is awarded to people who achieve "an exceptional success in management, distinguished activities, aiding the oppressed and deprived people and/or beneficiary use of utilities and/or offering exquisite ways".
Order of Service is an Iranian state general order. For the first time, it was established and awarded during the Pahlavi dynasty and during the reign of Reza Shah. After Iranian Revolution it was re-established by "Council of Iran Ministers" in November 21, 1990. The order has three classes. Order of Culture and Art is an Iranian state general order established by "Council of Iran Ministers" on November 21, 1990 and modified on June 27, 2007. The order has three classes and awarded by President of Iran. According to Article 17 of the Regulations on the Awarding of Government Orders of Iran, the Order of Culture and Art is awarded to those who "facilitate theirs thinking, passions and emotions to express deep Islamic and humanitarian concepts and to spread culture" in one of the following ways:

Salim Neisari was an Iranian Professor of Persian literature and a permanent member of Academy of Persian Language and Literature. He was born on 12 December 1920 in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan Province, Azerbaijan (Iran), Iran and died on 12 January 2019 in Paris, France. He authored the first books on teaching Persian to non-Persian speakers.
Mohsen Haji-Mirzaei is an Iranian politician and has served as the chief of staff of the president of Iran since 28 July 2024. He is also Iran's former Minister of Education. Mirzaei was nominated by Hassan Rouhani to succeed Mohammad Bathaei. He received a majority vote from the Islamic Consultative Assembly in September 2019.
Esmaeel Azar or Amir Esmaeel Azar is a professor of Persian literature and director of the Department of Persian Language at the Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran, and director of the Farhangban Cultural and Artistic Institute. He also works as a presenter on literary programs on Iranian television, including the "Watching the Oath and the Beginning of the Word". He is a member of the Art commission at the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, Director of the Persian Literature Department at the Economic Cooperation Organization, Member of the Naming Committee at the National Organization for Civil Registration of Iran, member of the scientific commissions of the Public Libraries of Iran and a member of the board of directors of the Comparative Literature Association of Iran.
National Organization for Civil Registration of Iran is one of the governmental organizations in Iran that is responsible for collecting information and population statistics of Iran. This organization with independent duties and functions is one of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Interior of Iran. The organization is responsible for providing basic registration information such as births, deaths and marriages, as well as issuing identity documents such as birth certificates and Identity certificate. The Iranology Foundation is a scientific and research institute in Iran and Iranian studies is the main field of its activities. The Foundation's studies and researches are all topics and issues related to various manifestations of Iranian culture and civilization. The institute was established in 1997 under the supervision of the Presidential Administration of Iran.
The Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration of Iran or in brief GSI is a government agency responsible for conducting geological and mineral surveys throughout the country, collecting the results of activities carried out in this field, establishing coordination, preparing and publishing geological maps of Iran. It is a subdivision of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, which was established in 1962 in cooperation with United Nations.
Engineer Nasrollah Khadem was one of the first prominent geological experts in Iran. He is the founder of the Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration of Iran. Ali Osat Hashemi is an Iranian reformist politician. He was born 1958 in Sonqor County, Kermanshah Province, Iran. He was the Deputy Minister of Iran's Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare and the head of the Iran Technical and Vocational Training Organization, from 2019 to 2021.
Fathollah Mojtabaei is an Iranian author and historian. He is a permanent member of Academy of Persian Language and Literature and a member of the faculty of the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia.
The Iranian Law and Legal Research Institute, formerly Allameh Legal Encyclopedia Research Center, is a scientific and juridical research institute, composed of four groups: encyclopedia writing, legal theorization and intellectualism, studies on social impact of laws, and studies on "extra" laws.
