Sodegasawa Tsutsumi is an earthfill dam located in Akita Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for irrigation. The catchment area of the dam is 2.3 km2. The dam impounds about 12 ha of land when full and can store 783 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was completed in 1934. [1]

Yukihiko Tsutsumi is a Japanese television and film director. He began directing commercials and music promotion videos as an employee of Nihon Television. After spending time abroad, he returned and started his own production company, Office Crescendo, from which he works independently. His first television drama on Nihon Television was called Kora! Tonneruzu and ran from 1985 to 1989. He directed Taitei no Ken, an original work by Baku Yumemakura, in 2007.

Shikawa Dam is a dam in Fukuyama in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The dam began construction in 1974, and the project was completed in 2004. The dam has a height of 58.9 metres and a length of 251 metres. The reservoir has a maximum capacity of 1,650,000 m³ and has a catchment area of 15 km2.

1847 Nagano earthquake

The 1847 Nagano earthquake occurred at about 21:30 local time on 8 May at Nagano, Japan. It had a magnitude of 7.4 on the surface wave magnitude scale. It caused the destruction of many houses in Nagano and at least 8,600 people were killed. The earthquake triggered many landslides, the largest of which dammed the Sai River. 19 days later, the failure of this earthquake dam caused a flood that destroyed many more houses and killed 35 people.
