Sohail Jaffar Ali (born 17 April 1967) is a former Pakistani cricketer who played first-class and List A cricket for Karachi, Pakistan National Shipping Corporation and Pakistan International Airlines from 1987 to 2002. [1]

In the 2000/01 domestic season, playing for Pakistan International Airlines against Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan, Jaffar put on an unbroken stand of 326 for the first wicket with Ghulam Ali. [2] At the time it was the highest opening partnership in all List A cricket. [3]

The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket competition in Pakistan. With few exceptions, it has been staged annually since it was first played during the 1953–54 season. Shortly afterwards he made his international debut, in an ODI against Zimbabwe. Khan was part of the team for 2015 Cricket World Cup.

His father was the cricketer Raees Mohammad, and his uncles Wazir, Hanif, Mushtaq and Sadiq all played Test cricket for Pakistan.
