Sohail Nadeem is a Pakistani Professor of Applied Mathematics and Chairman of Mathematics Department at Quaid-i-Azam University. He is Fellow of the world Academy of sciences and an elected Fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences. He is a recipient of the 2022 Obada Prize Award. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
Sohail Nadeem was born on 15 March 1975. He attended Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan from his first degree to the PhD level. He obtained his M.Sc., M.phil and PhD in 1998, 2000 and 2004 in Applied Mathematics. [3] [1] [4] [5]
In 2000, he was appointed as a Senior research assistant at the department of Mathematics at the Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. In 2002, he became a lecturer at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Abbottabad. In 2003, he became an assistant Professor the same institution. In 2005, he moved to Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad also as an Associate Professor and in 2011, he became an associate professor and eventually become a professor in 2015. [4] [5]
In 2011, he received the Young fellow World Academy of Sciences Award by the third world Academy of Sciences, Italy. In 2012, he was elected as a member of Pakistan Academy of Sciences. In the same year, he received the Salam prize for Mathematics by the same institution. [4] [5] Additionally, He received the Productive scientist Awards by PCST for the years 2012–2013 in A category and in 2016 he was awarded Pakistan Academy of Sciences gold medal in Mathematics and he was eventually elected in as a member in 2019. [5] In 2022, he won the Obada Prize award. [6]

Riazuddin, also spelled as Riaz-Ud-Din, was a Pakistani theoretical physicist, specialising in high-energy physics and nuclear physics. Starting his scientific research in physics in 1958, Riazuddin was considered one of the early pioneers of Pakistan's nuclear weapons development and atomic deterrence development. He was the director of the Theoretical Physics Group (TPG) of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) from 1974 until 1984. Riazuddin was a pupil of the winner of the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics, Abdus Salam.

Mushtaq is an honorary full professor at the Mathematics Division of the Institute for Basic Research, Florida, US.
Asghar QadirHI, SI, FPAS, is a Pakistani mathematician and a prominent cosmologist, specialised in mathematical physics and physical cosmology. Nowadays, he is widely considered one of the top mathematicians in Pakistan. Asghar has played a prominent role in promoting Relativity in Pakistan. To this day, Qadir has made important and significant contributions to the fields of differential equations, theoretical cosmology and mathematical physics. He is noted for his work in mathematics and mathematical physics, in particular his contributions to general relativity and cosmology.
Mazhar Mahmood Qurashi, best known as M. M. Qureshi was a Pakistani physicist and an Islamic scholar who was educated in Lahore and Manchester. Fayyazuddin, also spelled as Fayyaz Uddin, is a Pakistani theoretical physicist, emeritus professor, specialising in theoretical physics and mathematical physics at Quaid-e-Azam University campus National Centre for Physics, Islamabad. He is a senior scientist at the National Center for Physics. Fayyaz is doing research in the fields of quantum mechanics, particle physics, and meson physics. He has published numerous physics papers accompanied by Riazuddin and has co-authored Quantum Mechanics by Fayyazuddin and Riazuddin published in 1990.

The Abdus Salam Award, is a most prestigious award that is awarded annually to Pakistani nationals to the field of chemistry, mathematics, physics, biology. It is to consist of a certificate giving a citation and a cash award of US$1,000. It is to be awarded on the basis of the collected research and/or a technical essay written specially for the Prize
Muhammad Sharif (cosmologist), TI, FPAS, is a Pakistani professor, specialised in mathematical physics and cosmology. He worked as the chairman of the department of Mathematics, University of the Punjab (PU), Lahore for six years, i.e., from 2013 to 2019. Sharif served as a Dean, Faculty of Science at University of the Punjab from 2019 to 2021. Now, Sharif is an HOD, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, The University of Lahore. He is a Higher Education Commission (HEC) Distinguished National Professor. He has been awarded with the Izaz-Fazeelat and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz by the government of Pakistan.
