New Order are an English band whose integration of post-punk with electronic and dance music made them one of the most acclaimed and influential bands of the 1980s. The band was formed in 1980 by vocalist and guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook, and drummer Stephen Morris. The members regrouped after the disbandment of their previous band Joy Division due to the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. They were joined by Gillian Gilbert on keyboards later that year. They were the flagship band for Manchester-based independent record label Factory Records and its nightclub The Haçienda, and they worked in long-term collaboration with graphic designer Peter Saville.
Jakob is a New Zealand post-rock band, based in the Hawkes Bay city of Napier. The band consists of guitarist Jeff Boyle, bassist Maurice Beckett, and drummer Jason Johnston. They have been compared to such bands as Mogwai, Sonic Youth, and High Dependency Unit, though they largely eschew any vocals or samples in their songs.
I'm Not Dead is the fourth studio album by American singer and songwriter Pink. It was released on April 4, 2006, through LaFace Records. Following the commercial underperformance of her third studio album Try This (2003), Pink parted ways with Arista Records and began experimenting with new sounds and collaborating with new producers, and stated she named the album after having an epiphany about adult responsibilities and the realities of everyday life. Pink served as the executive producer of the project and contributions to the album's production came from several producers including Billy Mann, Butch Walker, Dr. Luke and Max Martin.

Redeemer is the third studio album by American metalcore band Norma Jean. It was released on September 12, 2006 in the United States, and on October 3, 2006 in Canada. The album sold more than 21,000 records in its first week. It is the last album to feature drummer Daniel Davison. For this album they filmed videos for "Blueprints for Future Homes", and "Songs Sound Much Sadder". Shannon Crawford, the singer of Cellophane and Monster in the Machine, painted the album artwork. Musician Poppy Jean Crawford is the girl in the painting.

See the Morning is the fourth studio album by Chris Tomlin released on September 26, 2006. The title comes from that idea that "our God is as faithful as the rising sun" and is the "Light of the World". The album was originally released in two versions: one with 11 tracks, the other with 4 alternate versions of his songs and a special behind-the-scenes look at the recording of the album. Since then, another version, the tour edition, has been released, which features the standard version, along with music/live videos, along with a sermon by Louie Giglio titled "How Great Is Our God". The first single from the album was "Made to Worship", which was first heard as an iTunes bonus track for the Passion album Everything Glorious.

The band's sound has been described as "nauseating, disorienting and gleefully disharmonic", and is characterised by extremely technical death metal with extensive use of dissonance, time signature changes, and complex song structures.

He has collaborated with Brian Eno, Katie Melua, Imogen Heap, Jarvis Cocker, Carl Barât, Regina Spektor, Jon Hopkins and Paul Simon. After attending the Royal Academy of Music in England, he started his musical career by touring as lead guitarist with Imogen Heap.
Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus is a double album by American singer Miley Cyrus, released on June 26, 2007 by Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records. The first disc is the soundtrack for the second season of the television series Hannah Montana and credited to Cyrus's title character Hannah Montana, and the second disc is Cyrus' debut studio album with new original material. The two sections of the album were re-issued as two separate albums on digital platforms on January 22, 2021. The double album was further promoted with Cyrus' first headlining concert tour, the Best of Both Worlds Tour (2007–08). Most of the Meet Miley Cyrus section was produced by Rock Mafia, with further collaborations with Xandy Barry, Matthew Wilder, Scott Cutler and Wendi Foy Green. Cyrus co-wrote eight out of ten tracks on the Meet Miley Cyrus section.
The Half-Light Symphony is the first EP by New Zealand progressive rock band Battle Circus. A concept record depicting mankind's transitional stages of existence following a cataclysmic nuclear disaster, the EP is divided into four distinct movements that provide a narrative for each part of the story. The research and hypotheses of US-based academic Dr. Philip K. Mossman heavily influenced the band, and were central to the themes of the album. A recording of Dr. Mossman reciting a passage from his paper entitled "Epoch" was sent to the band by the now-deceased professor's wife, and was included in the final track "Mossman's Epoch". Throughout the New Zealand tour for the album the band would perform The Half-Light Symphony in its entirety, from start to finish.
Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection is a reissue of American singer-songwriter Katy Perry's third studio album, Teenage Dream (2010). It was released on March 23, 2012, by Capitol Records, nearly two years after the original album. Perry collaborated with producers including Tricky Stewart to refine leftover material from the recording sessions at Playback Recording Studio for Teenage Dream. The final product features three newly recorded songs, which incorporate pop styles previously seen in the original album, an acoustic version of "The One That Got Away" and three additional official remixes.

The album was a commercial success in New Zealand, receiving a double platinum certification. The song "Whakahonohono Mai" was the most played Māori language song on New Zealand radio stations in 2010 and 2011, and in 2023, the song "Jah Rastafari" was the 20th most commercially successful song by a New Zealand artist in the country for the year.
