Son of India is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language film inspired by the true events from the Telugu states. [2] The film is directed by Diamond Ratnababu and produced by Vishnu Manchu under the banner of Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and 24 Frames Factory. The film stars Mohan Babu, Srikanth, Tanikella Bharani and Ali.

Mohan Babu announced the film by releasing the first-look poster from his social media account. [3] [4] The first single, a devotional song, composed by Ilaiyaraaja was released on 15 June, 2021. [5]

Plot

This film is the journey of a seasoned politician from a core party leader to the Chief Minister of a state. Though the film has many incidents inspired by true events, it is blended with fictional elements. It's a story of achievements, manipulations, self – righteous attitude vs pure instinct, of finding despair in the midst of companionship. [6]

As per the reports, The makers wanted to finalise the deal with OTT but none of the OTT platforms showed any interest in buying this movie. [8] The movie is scheduled to release on 18 February 2022.
