Sonny Angus Nnaemeka Dixie Chidebelu is a Nigerian professor of Agricultural economics (Agribusiness) from the Faculty of Agriculture,University of Nigeria,Nsukka. [1] [2] [3] He is a two times head of Department of Agriculture and a member of the Nigerian Academy of Science. [4] [5] [6]
Sonny was born on February 15,1948 at Abagana in Anambra State,Nigeria. He obtained his West African School Certificate (WAEC) in 1965 from King's College,Lagos Nigeria. [3] He obtained his first degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension from University of Nigeria,Nsukka in 1973 . He received his Master's degree in Agribusiness/ Agricultural Economics from the University of Guelph,Guelph,Ontario,Canada in 1977. In 1980,he obtained his PhD in Agricultural Economics from University of Georgia,Athens,Georgia,U.S.A. [3] [7]
Sonny began his academic career in 1977 as a Graduate Research Assistant at the department of Agric economics,University of Georgia. he became research associate in 1980,Lecturer II in 1981,Lecturer I in 1983,Senior Lecturer in 1985,a professor in 1996 and a visiting professor to Delta State University in 2001. Sonny is a member of Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE) and Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN). He is a fellow of Farm Management Association of Nigeria (FAMAN) and African Institute for Applied Economics (AIAE). [3]
Nsukka is a town and a Local Government Area in Enugu State,Nigeria. Nsukka shares a common border as a town with Edem,Opi,Ede-Oballa,and Obimo.

Uche Ewah Azikiwe,is a Nigerian academic,educator and author. She is the widow of former President of Nigeria Nnamdi Azikiwe. She is a professor in the Department of Educational Foundation,Faculty of Education at University of Nigeria,Nsukka. In 1999,she was appointed to the board of directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN).
Anambra Basin is one of the energy-rich inland sedimentary basins in Nigeria. It is a nearly triangular shaped embayment covering about 3000 km2 with a total sedimentary thickness of approximately 9 km. The Basin lying between 6°–7.8°N latitude and 6°40'–7°30'E longitude,is an area of agricultural and fisheries production. Fish species of genus Clarias are common in the basin especially in the dry season.

Frank Nwachukwu Ndili was the 1st Nigerian Nuclear Physicist and the 7th Vice Chancellor (President) of the University of Nigeria,Nsukka. He served as Vice Chancellor (President) of the University of Nigeria,Nsukka from 1980 until he was succeeded by professor Chimere Ikoku in 1985. He left the office after a long and controversial investigation by the panel of inquiry. However,he is believed to have been forthright even where his predecessor Umaru Shehu (1978-1979) threaded carefully. He is credited with being one of the most visionary Vice Chancellors of the University. During Professor Ndili's Vice-Chancellorship,effort was undertaken for the first time to rebuild and refurbish the University of Nigeria following its devastation by the Nigerian Civil War. Ndili envisioned that the University would be destined for world-class status and designed a Master Plan to that effect. Today,the grand University entryway,the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library,the School of General Studies,and the Faculty of Arts Complex stand as testimony to his grand vision. He is not only a scientist,he is a great teacher,a top administrator,and a positive strategist.
Chinwe Nwogo Ezeani,is a Nigerian Chartered Librarian and the immediate past University Librarian of Nnamdi Azikiwe Library,University of Nigeria,Nsukka (U.N.N.). She is a Professor of Library and Information Science. Her tenure as a University Librarian (UL) at Nnamdi Azikiwe Library was between March 2014-March 2019. She is the first female University Librarian since the inception of Nnamdi Azikiwe Library,University of Nigeria Nsukka. In April,2021,Dr. Ilo Promise Ifeoma took over as the current University Librarian of Nnamdi Azikiwe Library,(U.N.N)
Miriam Odinchezo Iruaku Ikejiani-Clark was a Nigerian Professor of Political Science at the University of Nigeria Nsukka,Enugu State,who also served as minister of state for the Federal Capital Territory.
Charles Arizechukwu Igwe is a Nigerian professor of soil science and the 15th Vice Chancellor of University of Nigeria,Nsukka. He joined the university in the year 1976 as a soil survey assistant and in 1976 he became an academic staff of the institution. In 2016,Charles was appointed the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and re-appointed in 2018.
Theresa Obumneme Okoli is the 4th substantive provost of Federal College of Education (Technical),Umunze. On 17th of May 2018,she was appointed by the President of Nigeria,Muhammadu Buhari a Substantive provost of the college.

Gordian Obumneme Ezekwe was a Nigerian inventor,mechanical engineer and former federal Minister of Science and Technology under Ibrahim Babangida from 1989 to 1991. As the head of the Rocket Group of the Biafran Research and Production Directorate,he was notable for supervising the invention of the Biafran rocket and building a refinery for producing fuel,kerosene and diesel during the Nigerian Civil War. It is worthy of note that as minister of science and technology in 1991,21 years after the civil war,he didn’t forget one of the major contributors under his Research and Production team during the civil war. He recognized Engineer Romanus Okonkwo Nduagubam,a notable member of his research and production team during the war for his tremendous efforts and design/ development of a highly efficient machine that churned out tens of thousands of percussion caps which helped wage the war and sustain the biafrans,with a National award for excellence in Engineering and Technology. He was also involved in the production of the Ogbunigwe. He was a former Director of the Projects Development Agency (PRODA),first Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of the National Agency For Science and Engineering,Infrastructure (NASENI),and founder of Science Equipment Development Institute (SEDI). Prof. Gordian Ezekwe was the first Nigerian PhD in Mechanical Engineering (1959)
Nicholas Amechi Akwanya,FNAL is a Nigerian retired professor,priest,poet and a novelist. He was a former dean of Postgraduate studies of the University of Nigeria,Nsukka and a former head of department of English and Literary Studies of the institution. He is a fellow of Nigeria Academy of Letters.
Emmanuel Nnaemeka Enejere (1944–2016) was a Nigerian academic and a political scientist. He was the 14th Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Nigeria,Nsukka and a former president of the National Union of Biafran Students in the midst of the Nigerian Civil War.
