Omer "Obie" Ostrov
Once a Visigoth warrior, Obie is now a high school student and trying hard to control his wild impulses while still performing in his band. In 361 AD, after he was born, his aunt tried to kill him but his mother saved him by committing him to the Legend. He has the power to cast spells with the Rune stones his mother gave him. He is first introduced in Barbarian (Book #1). His aunt lives in Nefandus and she is jealous of his power. He plays in a band called Pagan after he escapes Nefandus. In the end, he sacrificed himself so Catty would stay alive and destroy the Atrox.
Samuel Reardon
Samuel is from the pioneer times. He shows up for the first time in Escape (Book #2). He was captured with his friend Macduff in 1768. He discovers that he has the power to call on animals and sometimes turn into them. He and Maddie, a girl he meets when he escapes Nefandus, have an on-and-off relationship. In the end, he sacrificed himself so Catty would stay alive and destroy the Atrox.
Kyle Ormond
From the modern times, he never knew who his real parents were. In Outcast (Book #3), he discovers who he is: his father is a powerful demon, he created his favorite foster parent and his "twin brother" Kent with his power of projection, and that his destiny and Catty's, a Daughter of the Moon whom he dated, are intertwined. His mother escaped Nefandus with Kyle to protect him from the Regulators after he was born. He was named by the nurses in the hospital he was born in. He escaped Nefandus with the help of a monk. In the end, he sacrificed himself so Catty would stay alive and destroy the Atrox.
Yaolt "Berto" Roberto Ehecatl
Berto is from the Toltec Nation. He has the power of astral projection. He was going to be sacrificed to his god, Tezcatlipoca, but was kidnapped by Obie's master, Hawkwick, and a demon named Semihazah. They took him to Nefandus in 1000 BC. His book is Night Sun (Book #4). He is an entrance guard at a club called Quake. In the end, he sacrificed himself so Catty would stay alive and destroy the Atrox.
Ashley
Showing up for the first time in book 2, she is a venatrix, a servus who is a bounty hunter. She is from Mesopotamia. She and Berto were lovers when they were together in the digs. After they escaped, she became a bounty hunter because for each servus she returns, her ability to time-travel is extended. In book 2, she helps Samuel receive his power. Apparently, she and Klye also have history together. In book 4, she tells Berto the rest of the Legend, asks him to join evil's side, and reveals that she has a son. She tells Berto that she has to return before the night sun to change her son's destructive fate. He agrees and she takes him to Nefandus. After she is told that she can go home, she does so and succeeds in changing her son's fate.
Madison-Maddie Sledgeheimer
Sledge's younger sister, she is in involved the occult and believes in the supernatural. In book 2, she meets Samuel in a graveyard, trying to help her friend Emily, whom she believes was attacked by a vampire named Macduff. She gets kidnapped in Nefandus but the Sons help her escape. Obie erases her memory to protect her. In book 4, Obie's spell is wearing off and she begins to remember and also see things. She helps Berto even though she didn't understand what she was doing and she tries to tell him the dangers they face but before Berto can stop Obie, once again her memory is erased. She and Samuel have an on and off relationship.
Book summaries
Book #1: Barbarian
Obie hates Los Angeles and all the junk that goes with it—especially trying to fit in at Thomas Turney High School. But with bounty hunters trying to capture him, his Renegade roommates urge him to lie low with his band and forget about ever getting back home. It's hard to blend in at school, though, when you've just made enemies with the football team. Jacen Solo is a fictional character in literature based on the Star Wars film series, set in what is now designated as the original-canon Star Wars Legends continuity. The son of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, as well as the nephew of Luke Skywalker, he is a major character in several novels, particularly the New Jedi Order series. He becomes the antagonist of the Legacy of the Force series under the name Darth Caedus. Jacen's other familial connections of note to his native continuity include being the brother of Jaina Solo and Anakin Solo as well as the cousin of Ben Skywalker.
Sweep is a series of young adult fantasy novels written by Cate Tiernan, the first of which, Book of Shadows, was published in 2001. The series follows a teenage girl, Morgan Rowlands, who discovers she is the descendant of a long line of witches, and possesses powerful magic of her own.
Catwoman is a fictional character created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with the superhero Batman. Debuting as "the Cat" in Batman #1, she is one of the Dark Knight's most notable enemies and belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up his rogues' gallery. However, the character has also been depicted as an antiheroine and become Batman's best known and most enduring love interest, with many stories depicting their complex love–hate relationship. Since 1993, Catwoman has had her own ongoing series, Catwoman.
Sarah Jeanette Connor is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the Terminator franchise. She is one of the protagonists of The Terminator (1984), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Terminator Genisys (2015), and Terminator: Dark Fate (2019), as well as the television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008–2009). The character develops from a timid damsel in distress victim in the first film to a wanted fugitive committing acts of terrorism, a hardened warrior and mother who sacrificed everything for her son's future, on the verge of losing touch with her own humanity, and a mentor preparing and protecting a protégée for her destiny.
Talia al Ghul is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with Batman. The character was created by writer Dennis O'Neil and artist Bob Brown, and first appeared in Detective Comics #411. Talia is most commonly known as being the daughter of the supervillain Ra's al Ghul as well as the on-and-off lover of the superhero Batman and the mother of their son Damian Wayne who was born during a brief marriage. Over the years, she has alternately been depicted as an anti-heroine who is constantly torn between being an ally and an enemy of Batman due to her loyalty to both him and her environmentalist father, with whom she shares the same vision when it comes to saving the planet and nature, but not the means he uses to achieve that goal.
Daughters of the Moon is a novel series by Lynne Ewing. It is about four fictional girls, later five who are mortal goddesses and who fight an ancient evil called The Atrox. They each have different powers, destinies, and dark sides. They all wear moon amulets. When they turn 17, they have to make a choice. They can either become something more or continue their lives; but as mortals who have forgotten their lives and consequently, their powers, as Daughters of the Moon. All of the Daughters live in Los Angeles, battling the Atrox and its dark Followers. Sons of the Dark is a companion series.
The Reaping is a 2007 American supernatural horror thriller film, starring Hilary Swank. The film was directed by Stephen Hopkins for Warner Bros. Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment. The music for the film was scored by John Frizzell.
Young Jedi Knights is a Star Wars young adult fiction series by science fiction writer Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta. It was published from 1995 to 1998. It covers the Jedi training of Jacen and Jaina Solo, the twin children of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo. The series begins 23 years ABY, when the twins are fourteen years old.
Ys are two different anime series, released as original video animation series, both of which are based on the video game series Ys. The first series spans seven episodes and covers the general plotline of the first game of the series, Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished. The plot centers on Adol Christin as he journeys to the island of Esteria in search of adventure. Upon arrival, he learns that a dark priest known as Dark Fact has been tearing the island apart in search of six mystical tomes of power, the Books of Ys.
Popolocrois Monogatari is a Japanese anime television series, based on the manga series of the same name created by Yohsuke Tamori, which was adapted into the Japan-only PlayStation game PoPoLoCrois Monogatari in 1996. It received a full English language fan translation in 2022. The direct sequel PoPoLoCrois Monogatari II was released in 2000 and the 2006 PlayStation Portable game remixes both into one game.
Kirsty is a fictional character from the Hellraiser media franchise. Created by writer Clive Barker, Kirsty first appears in the 1986 novella The Hellbound Heart. Her full name is identified in the sequels as Kirsty Singer, before being adapted in the 1987 film adaptation Hellraiser as Kirsty Cotton. The character served as a major focus in the original film and its sequel Hellbound: Hellraiser II, later playing a supporting role in Hellraiser VI: Hellseeker. In all of her appearances in the film series, she was portrayed by actress Ashley Laurence. The film describes her as being Larry Cotton's daughter, while in the novel she is simply a friend of his.
Asajj Ventress is a character from the Star Wars franchise. Originally intended to appear as an antagonist in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, she was first introduced in the 2003 micro-series Star Wars: Clone Wars, and is part of the Star Wars Legends continuity. A different version of Ventress was featured in the 2008 animated film The Clone Wars and the subsequent television series of the same name, in which she is voiced by Nika Futterman. The character also appears in tie-in Star Wars media such as books, comics, and video games, and has become a favorite among fans.
The Trials of Apollo is a pentalogy of fantasy adventure and mythological fiction novels written by American author Rick Riordan that collectively form a sequel to the Heroes of Olympus series. It is set in the same world as Riordan's Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series and the references to characters and happenings from earlier stories prove this. A supplementary book, Camp Jupiter Classified, has also been released in addition to the main series.
The Girl Who Drank the Moon is a 2016 children's book by Kelly Barnhill. The book tells how Luna, after being raised by a witch named Xan, must figure out how to handle the magical powers she was accidentally given. She must control her powers before it's too late. The book received the 2017 Newbery Medal.
