It typically has a touchscreen interface, allowing users to access a wide range of applications and services, such as web browsing, email, and social media, as well as multimedia playback and streaming. Smartphones have built-in cameras, GPS navigation, and support for various communication methods, including voice calls, text messaging, and internet-based messaging apps.

Sony Ericsson P990 is a mobile phone and the successor of Sony Ericsson P910. The phone uses the UIQ 3 software platform, which is based upon Symbian OS 9.1. During development the phone was codenamed Hermione, after the Harry Potter character of the same name. It was introduced on 11 October 2005, but had a long delayed market release only in August 2006.

The HTC Touch Pro is a smart phone from the Touch series of Internet-enabled Windows Mobile Pocket PC smartphones designed and marketed by HTC Corporation of Taiwan. It is an enhanced version of the HTC Touch Diamond with the addition of a left-side slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, and a camera flash. The Touch Pro smartphone's functions include those of a camera phone and a portable media player in addition to text messaging and multimedia messaging. It also offers Internet services including e-mail, instant messaging, web browsing, and local Wi-Fi connectivity. Depending on its market, it is a quad-band GSM or quad-band UMTS phone with GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, and HSUPA or a tri-band CDMA phone with 1xEV-DO Rev A. All versions feature TouchFLO 3D — a new enhanced version of the TouchFLO interface, unique only to the latest Touch series. In March 2009, HTC announced a new version, the Touch Pro2 which has a larger screen (3.6") and a redesigned slide out QWERTY keyboard with spaces between the keys.

Samsung GT-i8910 Omnia HD is a smartphone manufactured by Samsung Electronics, first announced at MWC 2009 on February 18, 2009. The device was the first phone capable of playing and recording 720p HD video. It runs on the S60 5th Edition (Symbian^1) platform, the only Samsung device to do so.
The Nokia C6-00 is a smartphone and portable entertainment handheld cellular device by Finnish communications company Nokia, running the Symbian S60v5 operating system. It was announced on April 13, 2010. It is the third Nokia Symbian^1 smartphone featuring a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Its software and hardware specifications resemble the N97 mini in most ways. One of the differences is that the sliding in this phone is flat, unlike the upward angled in the N97 mini, hence allowing a four row QWERTY keypad, bringing a slightly enhanced typing experience to the table. The phone has a 5-megapixel camera, though unlike the N97 mini, it does not have Carl Zeiss optics. It also has a secondary camera in front for video calls. The Nokia C6-01 is the successor to the C6-00 featuring a major step-up with the new Symbian^3 operating system, Ovi Maps 3.0 and such but losing the QWERTY keyboard.

The Nokia C7-00 is a smartphone from the Nokia Cseries. It was introduced on 14 September 2010 and released in Q4 2010. The C7-00 features a 3.5-inch (89 mm), 640 x 360 pixel capacitive touchscreen and features 720p video recording, and was also the world's first smartphone to have NFC capability. Nokia's mobile phone business head Anssi Vanjoki called it the "sleekest" device in the world. Unlike the Nokia N8 flagship, the C7 has physical call and hangup buttons.
The Acer beTouch E130 is a smartphone manufactured by Acer Inc. using the Android 1.6 (Donut) operating system at launch and Android 2.1 in later releases and is designed for a professional use. It has a QWERTY keyboard. It was unveiled in June 2010 and available for sale from August 2010.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S is a high-end smartphone developed by Sony Ericsson running Google's operating system Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). It is an upgraded version of the Sony Xperia Arc. It is the last phone announced to carry the Sony Ericsson brand, although Sony Ericsson Xperia active was the last phone completed before Sony bought Ericsson's stake in the joint-venture.

It was first released in February 2012 as the Sony Ericsson Xperia NX in Japan, while the Sony Xperia S was released in March 2012 as a restyled version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia NX in more than 160 countries. It is the first Sony-only branded smartphone after Sony acquired Ericsson's stake in Sony Ericsson in January 2012. The Xperia S has a 4.3 in (110 mm) touch-screen with the mobile BRAVIA engine which optimizes the picture, a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, a 12.0-megapixel rear camera, HDMI-out, 1 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage.
