Sora tob sakana was a Japanese alternative idol girl group formed in 2014. [1] They released their debut single, "Yozora o Zenbu", on October 27, 2015. [2]

History

Sora tob sakana formed in July 2014 as the second act in the Frappe Idol Project after Siam & Poptune. [1] They debuted in October 2015 with the single, "Yozora o Zenbu". [2] Their second single, "Mahō no Kotoba", was released in February 2016. [3] The group released their eponymous first studio album in July 2016. [4] In April 2017, they released their first EP, Cocoon, [5] followed by the group's first major label release: their second EP, Alight, in May 2018. [6] Their third single, "New Stranger" was released in July 2018 and was featured in Hi Score Girl as the opening theme. [7] They released their second studio album, World Fragment Tour, in March 2019. [8] Their fourth single, "Sasayakana Shukusai", which was released in July 2019, was featured in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? II as the ending theme. [9] Their fifth single, "Flash", which was released in November 2019 was featured in Hi Score Girl II as the opening theme. On May 22, 2020, the group announced that they would disband on September 6. [10] They released their third and final studio album, Deep blue, on August 5, 2020. [11]

With music, performances and videos that are extremely different from the typical idol group, Bis have come to be known as alternative idols. They disbanded at Yokohama Arena on July 8, 2014. Exactly two years after their disbandment on July 8, 2016, Pour Lui, Kenta Matsukuma and Junnosuke Watanabe announced that Bis would reform under a new lineup including Pour Lui, and that auditions were going to be held. On March 30, 2019, Bis announced that they would disband at the end of their "Are You Ready To Go?" tour. Honami "Amy" Furuhara, known professionally as Aaamyyy, is a Japanese electronic musician. Originally a member of electronic pop groups Go Retro and Eimie, Furuhara began working with the psychedelic rock band Tempalay from 2015, and starting a solo career in 2017.

Mameshiba no Taigun (豆柴の大群), stylized as MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN, was a Japanese alternative idol girl group formed through the reality survival show Monster Idol which featured on TBS Television's variety show Wednesday's Downtown in 2019. They debuted on December 19, 2019, with "Restart". They ceased activities as Mameshiba no Taigun in January 2024 after merging with Tonai Bousho to form Mameshiba no Taigun Tonai Bousho a.k.a. Pedro is a Japanese rock band led by vocalist and bassist Ayuni D. Formed in 2018 as Ayuni D's solo project outside of Bish, she is currently supported by Hisako Tabuchi of Number Girl on guitar and Yumao of hitorie on drums. They released their debut EP in September 2018 and continued to release music until the end of 2021. Following a one and a half year hiatus, Pedro resumed activities in mid-2023 after Bish disbanded.
