"What's It Gonna Be?!" is the second single released by American rapper Busta Rhymes from his third studio album E.L.E. : The Final World Front (1999), featuring guest vocals from American singer Janet Jackson. The song was a commercial and critical success, reaching number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and the top ten of various countries. It also hit number one on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks charts, and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group at the 2000 Grammy Awards.
"It Ain't Hard to Tell" is the second single and last track from American rapper Nas' debut album Illmatic. Although the track was technically the second single on the album, it was the first single to be released after the album was pressed in 1994. The first single, "Halftime," was released two years prior to Illmatic's debut.
The Hrsmn is an American hip hop supergroup consisting of the artists Canibus, Ras Kass, Killah Priest, and Kurupt. They have released one album entitled The Horsemen Project (2003). The name of the group is in reference to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who appear in the Book of Revelation from the Bible. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are traditionally named Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. Throughout the Hrsmn songs, there are many references to each of the members representing one of these entities. They have each frequently appeared on each of the members solo albums, such as Canibus's 2000 B.C. and Killah Priest's Priesthood. Other affiliated members include Chino XL, and Pharoahe Monch (who acted as the hype man on the leaked "Im A Horseman " and rapped on "Horsemen" from Canibus's 2000 B.C. .
Soul on Ice is the debut album by West Coast emcee Ras Kass, released on October 1, 1996, under Priority Records. The album was produced by Ras Kass, as well as DJ Battlecat, Vooodu, Bird, Michael Barber, Michael Schlesinger, and Reno Delajuan. Fellow West Coast rapper Coolio makes the only guest appearance on the album on the song "Drama." The album's title is a reference to Black Panther member Eldridge Cleaver's 1968 book Soul on Ice. Two charting singles were released from the album, "Anything Goes" and "Soul on Ice." It has been praised for its complex lyricism and lush production. The Source magazine noted in 1996, that Ras Kass was "the West Coast's answer to Nas".
"Check Yo Self" is the third single from Ice Cube's third solo album The Predator. It was released on July 13, 1993 and features New York City rappers Das EFX. It topped both the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap charts while also reaching number 20 on the Hot 100 chart. The song retains two main versions, the original and a remix which utilizes the same beat as Grandmaster Flash's "The Message", titled "Check Yo Self ". The original mix includes a sample from the intro of The Beastie Boys' track "The New Style", which uses the phrase "check it" throughout the chorus.

Rasassination is the second album by rapper Ras Kass. It was released on September 22, 1998 by PatchWerk. It peaked at #63 on Billboard 200 and #11 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. One charting single was released "Ghetto Fabulous" featuring Dr. Dre and Mack 10. The album is no longer in print. “Interview with a Vampire” is considered an underground classic and one of his best songs.
"Resurrection" is the second single from rapper Common's 1994 album Resurrection. Its piano-led beat, produced by No I.D., contains samples from "The Signs Pt. II" by David Axelrod, "Dolphin Dance" by Ahmad Jamal, "Sorcerer of Isis" by Power of Zeus, "Ice" by Spirit and both "Why Can't People Be Colors Too?" and "Help Is on the Way" by The Whatnauts. The song contains free-associative lyrics by Common and scratches by DJ Mista Sinista that "blend harmoniously with the jazzy melody." Nick Quested directed the "Resurrection" music video.
"Rise of the Machines" is a single by hip hop duo Jedi Mind Tricks (JMT), released as a limited edition promo single in 2003. The vinyl is the only JMT single not to feature a B-Side. The album version of Rise of the Machines features a Latin acoustic guitar sample, coupled with clips from Mike Tyson's infamous "I wanna eat your children" speech. The song, named after the film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, features revered West Coast lyricist Ras Kass, who was imprisoned at the time of the release. The song features a previously recorded verse from the rapper. JMT vocalist Vinnie Paz joined in on the "Free Ras Kass" campaign, saying the phrase on the track, and wearing the "Free Ras Kass" shirt on the Visions of Gandhi tour.
"Church" is a song by singer T-Pain. It is a fast-paced song led by guitar riffs and is one of the songs in which T-Pain raps. It appears on his album Epiphany and was released as the third single. The song "features" Teddy Verseti, one of T-Pain's aliases, which he uses when rapping vigorously. The song is about wanting to fight someone following a confrontation at a club. It was confirmed as the third single from Epiphany in an interview promoting the album.
"Front 2 Back" is the second single from Xzibit's third album Restless. Rockwilder produced the song. A music video for the song directed by Diane Martel was released. The music video features cameo appearances by Kurupt, Ras Kass and the producer Rockwilder.
John Austin IV, better known by his stage name Ras Kass, is an American rapper. He returned as a member of the hip hop supergroup The HRSMN along with Canibus, Killah Priest, and Kurupt in 2014. Ras is a member of the group Golden State Warriors with Xzibit and Saafir. Editors of About.com ranked him No. 30 on their list of the Top 50 MCs of Our Time (1987–2007). Pitchfork Media called him "one of the best rappers of all time."
"Good Times" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Styles, of East Coast hip hop group the LOX. It was released as his solo debut single and served as the lead single from his debut album, A Gangster and a Gentleman (2002). The song, produced by Swizz Beatz and Saint Denson, samples "I Get High ", as performed by Freda Payne.

"I Wanna Rock" is the third official single from American rapper, Snoop Dogg's tenth studio album, Malice n Wonderland. It was released digitally on iTunes on November 17, 2009, after the second single "That's Tha Homie". The song was produced by Scoop DeVille and mixed by Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg released it on a mixtape titled "I Wanna Rock" on November 23. The song was confirmed by BBC Radio 1 to be released in the UK on March 15, 2010 but is now listed as "Coming Soon".
"Anything Goes" is the first single released from Ras Kass' debut album, Soul on Ice. Produced and written by Ras Kass himself, "Anything Goes" peaked at 85 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, 20 on the Hot Rap Singles and #1 on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
Patchwerk Recording Studios is a recording studio located at 1094 Hemphill Avenue, West Midtown in Atlanta, GA. It was established in 1993 by former NFL offensive tackle Bob Whitfield of the Atlanta Falcons, and is currently owned and operated by Curtis Daniel III and Mike Wilson. The facility features two totally isolated recording studios, namely Studio 995 and Studio 9000, along with Studio 1019, a vocal tracking and editing studio in the 9000 wing of the building. Apart from the facility's use as a recording studio, the premises are also used for audio mastering in the Mastering Studio, as well as offering CD duplication and graphic design services.
"Just in Love" is a song by American singer Joe Jonas. The song was released on September 13, 2011 by Hollywood Records, as the second and final single from his debut studio album, Fastlife (2011). The song was written by Jonas and James Fauntleroy and produced by Rob Knox. The song garnered mixed reception from music critics. An official remix of the track features a verse from American rapper Lil Wayne and slightly altered production; it received a Parental Advisory sticker for this because of the explicit lyrics Lil Wayne raps, but the clean version was made the official version. The Lil Wayne remix was also featured in May 2019, on the tracklist of Jonas Brothers reunion documentary, Chasing Happiness. Lil Wayne's explicit lyrics are said there, but however, it does not have an explicit content tag and does not credit Lil Wayne's feature as well.
Rapmasters: From Tha Priority Vaults, Vol. 5 is the fifth volume of an eight volume budget compilation series released by Priority Records throughout 1996 and 1997. Unlike the previous two volumes, there is no fully uncut explicit version available and this and the remaining three volumes [as well as the first two volumes] are only available in mostly censored edited versions. The version of Brotha Lynch Hung's R.I.P. that appears here is not the same version that is found on Season of da Siccness but is rather the clean remixed and re-recorded version that would also appear on a couple of Brotha Lynch's best of collections and on The Best Of Black Market Records. Also, This volume is the only volume that doesn't feature Ice Cube.
