Sound Mirrors is the fifth studio album by Coldcut. It was released in January 2006. Four singles were released from the album including the Top 75 hit "True Skool" with Roots Manuva. [1] [2] [3] [4]
A 2 CD edition features tracks 1-12 shown above on CD 1. The second CD features 3 tracks from 'People Hold On - The Best of Coldcut' and the disc is named 'Coldcut Classic 4 + 1'. CD 2 features the following tracks: 1. Beats + Pieces, 2. Paid in Full (Coldcut Remix - 7 Minutes of Madness) - Eric B + Rakim, 3. Stop this Crazy Thing, 4. Autumn Leaves, 5. Everything is Under Control (Qemists Remix).
The double vinyl LP has a slightly different track listing as it opens with the then forthcoming singles "True Skool" and "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" with all other tracks appearing in the same order as the CD. While such changes are sometimes made to vinyl versions to ensure sides are of a similar length, this is not the case as the only two tracks that would have been on different sides (i.e. "Just for the Kick" should be on side one and "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" should be on side two) are almost identical in length (both just over five minutes long).

Coldcut are an English electronic music duo composed of Matt Black and Jonathan More. Credited as pioneers for pop sampling in the 1980s, Coldcut are also considered the first stars of UK electronic dance music due to their innovative style, which featured cut-up samples of hip-hop, soul, funk, spoken word and various other types of music, as well as video and multimedia. According to Spin, "in '87 Coldcut pioneered the British fad for 'DJ records'".
Ninja Tune is an English independent record label based in London with a satellite office in Los Angeles. It was founded by Matt Black and Jonathan More and managed by Peter Quicke and others.

Sailin' Shoes is the second studio album by the American rock band Little Feat, released in 1972. Renaissance 3D by Faithless is a 3-compact disc box set, of which each CD has a different theme. The first CD, Studio, includes remixes of both songs by Faithless and others. The second CD, a mix CD called Club, mainly contains uptempo dance songs. Both the first and second CDs are compiled by Faithless member Sister Bliss. The third CD, Home, is compiled by Maxi Jazz and contains less uplifting songs, from genres such as reggae and trip hop.
J.U.S.T.I.C.E.League is an American record production team composed of producers and instrumentalists from Tampa, Florida. The group is made up of members Erik "Rook" Ortiz, Kevin "Colione" Crowe and Kenneth "Barto" Bartolomei. The group takes their name from the DC Comics superhero team the Justice League. The distinctive producer tag of a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League production has a female voice echoing the words "Justice League" twice at the beginning of most of their songs. They have a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for their work on Mary J. Blige's The Breakthrough (2006).

Amiri Baraka, previously known as LeRoi Jones and Imamu Amear Baraka, was an American writer of poetry, drama, fiction, essays, and music criticism. He was the author of numerous books of poetry and taught at several universities, including the University at Buffalo and Stony Brook University. He received the PEN/Beyond Margins Award in 2008 for Tales of the Out and the Gone. Baraka's plays, poetry, and essays have been described by scholars as constituting defining texts for African-American culture.

Million Dolla Broke Niggaz: The DVS Mindz Exxxperience 1994-2000 was the first official full-length release from the Topeka, Kansas rap group DVS Mindz. “"We got million dollar dreams, but we ain't got no money,” Kutaculus, the group’s DJ, explained of the title. The CD has been long out of print, and physical copies are hard to find online, but the entire album is available for streaming.
The Qemists are an English electronic music group, hailing from Brighton, England. They are signed to Amazing Record Co., an indie record label based in the UK. The band have a separate deal with Beat Records for distribution in Japan and with Detroit-based label FiXT Music for North America.

My Name Is Albert Ayler is an album by American free jazz saxophonist Albert Ayler recorded in Copenhagen in 1963 and first released on the Dutch Debut label. The album, on which Ayler is accompanied by Niels Brosted (piano), Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (bass), and Ronnie Gardiner (drums), features a spoken introduction by Ayler, followed by five musical tracks, mostly standards. "C.T.", the only Ayler original, is dedicated to Cecil Taylor, whom Ayler had met and performed with several months prior. "Bye Bye Blackbird" represents one of Ayler's few recordings on soprano saxophone.
UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop, R&B, and jungle. It is defined by percussive, shuffled rhythms with syncopated hi-hats, cymbals, and snares, and may include either 4/4 house kick patterns or more irregular "2-step" rhythms. Garage tracks also commonly feature 'chopped up' and time-stretched or pitch-shifted vocal samples complementing the underlying rhythmic structure at a tempo usually around 130 BPM.
Blueprints of Jazz Vol. 2 is an album by saxophonist Billy Harper recorded in 2006 and released in 2008 on the Talking House Records label. It is part of the Blueprints of Jazz series conceived, produced and recorded by Talking House Productions with an aim to expose the histories and current work of important but often lesser-known jazz players who had contributed to the sounds of jazz legends from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Production and recording of the albums was helmed by Talking House producers Marc Weibel and Stephen Smith
The New Wave in Jazz is a live album recorded on March 28, 1965 at the Village Gate in New York City. It features groups led by major avant-garde jazz artists performing at a concert for the benefit of The Black Arts Repertory Theater/School founded by Amiri Baraka, then known as LeRoi Jones. The album was released on LP in 1965 on the Impulse! label, and was reissued on CD in 1994 with a different track listing.
