In 2014, Anker Innovations began selling Bluetooth speakers and headphones on Amazon. Anker began to develop and prepare for headphone product lineups in 2016. In 2017, Anker launched a Kickstarter campaign for its new line of wireless earbuds. In 2018, the brand debuted independently under the name "soundcore" in New York and Tokyo. In 2019, soundcore established the brand's first online community, the Soundcore Collective. In 2021, soundcore's Launch event for the Liberty Air 2 Pro. In December 2024, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of approximately 69,000 units of the Anker Soundcore A3102 Bluetooth Speaker and Anker PowerConf A3302 Bluetooth Speaker, citing a risk of battery overheating and fire hazards.
