Sourav Das (or sometimes spelled Saurav Das) is an Indian actor, [3] presenter, comedian, and theater director in Bengali television, cinema and theatre. [4] He is best known for Dum Dum Digha Digha, Bolo Dugga Maiki and for his roles in the web series "Montu Pilot", "Charitraheen - Seasons 1,2,3" and "Rahasya Romancha - Season 3".

Early life and career

He graduated from South Point High School in Kolkata. Then, he joined theater and later started his acting career in the Zee Bangla TV series Boyei Gelo, in which he played Birsa Basak, the younger brother of Arjun (the hero of the series). He made his Bollywood film debut with Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz directed by Onir. He has worked with acclaimed Bengali film directors like Anjan Dutt, Arindam Sil, Birsa Dasgupta, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, and Raj Chakraborty. He made his debut as a playback singer in Zee Bangla Cinema Originals, Chore Chore Mastuto Bhai. Sourav Das married to actress Darshana Banik on December 15, 2023. [3]

Raj Chakraborty is an Indian film director, actor, producer and politician. He is one of the most commercially successful film-makers in Tollywood. Before directing his debut film, he was busy in Bengali TV. Raj Chakraborty was associated with Zee Bangla's laughter show Mirakkel, hosted by Mir, and the dance competition Dance Bangla Dance, judged by Mithun Chakraborty, during their initial days. He also directed Star Jalsha's laughter programme I Laugh You. He has been a Member of Legislative Assembly of West Bengal from Barrackpore since 2021.

Kanchan Mullick is an Indian Bengali film and television actor and politician. In addition to the television show Janata Express, Kanchan has also acted in movies like Mahakaal and Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona. He is also a Bengali theatre artist. He has worked in the theatre group Swapnasandhani. Mullick is an All India Trinamool Congress candidate at Uttarpara constituency in 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election, and has won the seat.

<i>Didi No. 1</i> Television series

Didi No. 1 is a Bengali television game show for women launched in 2010. The show airs on Zee Bangla six days a week and also available on ZEE5 digitally. It is the second longest-running Bengali television series by episode count.

Kaushik Roy is an Indian television and film actor. Roy is best known for playing the lead antagonist, Krishnendu Sengupta, in Bojhena Se Bojhena and main protagonist in Khorkuto. He has also played the lead role in Onnyo Bwosonto and a supporting role in Ekla Cholo.

Ka Kha Ga Gha is an Indian Bengali-language comedy film written and directed by Dr. Krishnendu Chatterjee and produced by Dr. Krishna Mukhopadhyay under the banner of Krishna Movies. Ka Kha Ga Gha is all about four young men Kalyan, an aspiring director, Kharaj, a script writer, Ganesh, an aspiring actor, and Ghanta, the antagonist in the team living in a dormitory. Samadarshi, Sourav, and Sayan played the lead roles in this venture. Actress Sayani Ghosh is seen essaying the leading lady opposite Sourav. Paran Bandyopadhyay roped in to play the mess owner. Kaushik Ganguly and Aparajita Adhya has played pivotal roles in this film.

Boomerang is an upcoming Indian Bengali-language sci-fi action comedy film directed by Sauvik Kundu. Produced by Jeet under the banner of Jeetz Filmworks and Grassroot Entertainment, it stars Jeet ans Rukmini Maitra, with the latter portraying dual roles.
