South Side High School in Jackson, Tennessee is a public high school, part of the Jackson-Madison County School System school system. It was created in 1956 by the consolidation of Pinson High School, Malesus High School, J.B. Young High School and Mercer High School. In 1992 they absorbed the students of West High School (Jackson, Tennessee) when it was abolished as part of the merger of the Jackson and Madison County school systems. [3]

Madison Academic Magnet High School is a public high school in the Jackson Madison County School System located on Lambuth Boulevard and formerly located on Allen Avenue, in Jackson, Tennessee. The former building was erected in 1928 as Jackson High School and underwent extensive renovations during the summer of 2003. The school was started in the autumn of 2003, replacing the former west campus of Jackson Central-Merry High School. The new building was constructed in late 2020 and opened in January 2022. The school has a graduating class of fewer than 125 students and does not offer special education classes. It is ranked #15 in Best High Schools in Tennessee according to U.S. News & World Report.

Although it was once a thriving farming community, a combination of man-made and natural disasters has reduced Denmark to a few remaining houses and the historic antebellum Denmark Presbyterian Church. Due to this, the Denmark municipality charter was revoked in 1983 and is now unincorporated.

The school was active as a high school from 1970 to 2016, during which time it was once the largest in West Tennessee outside Memphis. The school was renovated and reopened as a middle and high school on September 20, 2021.
