Southeast High School is a public high school in Bradenton, Florida, United States, operated by the Manatee County School District & is the only public high school in Manatee County to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
Southeast High School is a public high school that takes in students from an area determined by the Manatee County School District. However, for admission into the IB program, applications are accepted through February of a student's eighth grade year. These applications consist of a short paragraph essay, all report cards from middle school and the students' most recent FSA scores in reading and mathematics. [4] The application process is slightly different for students applying from Johnson Middle School, a local IB middle school.
For the school year 2010–2011, Southeast High School scored higher on the SAT than all other high schools in the Manatee County School District. [5] In addition, for the same school year, it was named a 5-Star school by the Department of Education. [6]
In 2012, the school was awarded a 'B' ranking by the Florida Department of Education, a full two grade levels above its previous ranking [7]
The school has also been recognized by Newsweek magazine in its annual rankings of high schools in the United States for the year of 2007 and was ranked 330 in 2006, 497 in 2007, 356 in 2008, 277 in 2009 and 512 in 2010. [8] [9] [10]
Southeast High School has many after-school activities, [11] which frequently earn top honors at the local, state, national and international levels.
The Technology Student Association (TSA) at Southeast High School is one of the most respected programs in the nation. [12] [13] [14] In 2010, a group of students in the Southeast TSA competed in a Formula One competition, winning first place in an international event in Singapore [15] [16] and subsequently won third place in 2011, setting a record for being a two-time top three finalist. [17] The program has been awarded State and National grand champions on multiple occasions in the past several years.[ citation needed ] In 2018, Southeast TSA competed in the event TEAMS for their first time. They placed 1st overall in the state of Florida and won National trophy for Digital Media Production, a competition in which students were tasked in creating a promotional video as a mock sustainable consulting company. The team placed 4th overall in the nation. [18]
The SkillsUSA program at Southeast High School is reigning national champions for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018 in the Broadcast New Category. [19] This is due to the Southeast Television (SETV) program at the school.

Paxon School for Advanced Studies (PSAS) is one of four International Baccalaureate senior high schools in Duval County, Florida, US. According to the College Board's Advanced Placement Report, Paxon has one of the strongest math and science Advanced Placement programs in the state of Florida, and is one of a group of Florida schools invited to apply for the Siemens Advanced Placement High School Award. Only ten to fifteen schools per state are invited to apply. Some valedictorians have been accepted to the United States Naval Academy and different Ivy League schools.
Seminole High School, originally established as Sanford High School, is a public high school located in Sanford, Florida, operated by Seminole County Public Schools. From 2006 to 2011, Seminole High School was one of the schools in Seminole County on Newsweek's list of the top 1,200 schools in the United States. The school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The Academy for Health Careers provides a curriculum based on a future career in health care. Students take a health class and health material is integrated into the curriculum of all other subjects. Seminole High also offers Advanced Placement courses in a range of subjects.

Biotechnology High School (BTHS), or commonly referred to as Biotech, is a four-year comprehensive vocational public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Freehold Township, Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, as part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District (MCVSD). Its curriculum includes a science program, consisting of eight different science classes spread over four years, designed to prepare students to pursue further education in biotechnology and the natural sciences. Emphasis is placed on research, laboratory skills, critical thinking, problem solving, technology, and teamwork. Over 90% of the 2009 graduates selected college majors in the life sciences. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 2005.

Palm Harbor University High School, also known as PHUHS, is a Pinellas County public high school in Palm Harbor, Florida for grades 9–12. The school's mascot is the Hurricane and the school's colors are navy and maroon. The campus was built in 1996 and was originally to be known as the University High School at Palm Harbor. The word University emphasized the intended cooperation with the University of South Florida, but this did not materialize. In the 2014–2015 school year, the school added a biomedical focus to the existing CWMP program.
