Sowmya Sharma is an Indian voice actor, RJ, and a script writer who works in Telugu films. She has lent her voice for leading actresses of Telugu and Tamil cinema including Anushka Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Nayanthara, and Shruthi Haasan among others. Her work in Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) earned her Nandi Award for Best Female Dubbing Artist by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. [4] [5]

Over the years, Sowmya has done many hats in her career. She worked as an RJ, [7] dubbing artist and currently working as a scriptwriter for OK Jaanu, America Ammayi and Chhota Bheem. [8]
Over her career as a dubbing artist, she dubbed for over 500 films and was awarded the highest award ceremony for excellence in Telugu cinema, Nandi Awards, twice. She received the first Nandi award for Lakshyam, where she lent her voice for Anushka Shetty and the second one was for the movie Mahatma in which she gave voice over for the actresses Bhavana. [9]

The audio music was planned to release separately in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states having the Chief ministers of these states as chief guests. Bhaagamathie is a 2018 Indian horror thriller film written and directed by G. Ashok. The film stars Anushka in the title role while Jayaram, Unni Mukundan, Murali Sharma, and Asha Sarath play other pivotal roles. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, the film revolves around a former district collector imprisoned in a haunted house. At the same time, she is interrogated by law enforcers investigating a politician they suspect of corruption. Principal photography commenced in June 2016 in Hyderabad, and the film was released on 26 January 2018 in Telugu and Tamil along with a dubbed Malayalam version. The film is a commercial success, grossing over ₹67 crore. With Bhaagamathie, Anushka Shetty emerged as the second Indian actress after Sridevi and the first South Indian actress to have a $1 million grossed at the US box office. The film was remade in Hindi as Durgamati (2020).

Nishabdham (transl. Silence) is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language mystery film directed by Hemant Madhukar and co-produced by Kona Venkat and T. G. Vishwa Prasad. The film stars Anushka Shetty, R. Madhavan, Michael Madsen, Anjali, Shalini Pandey and Subbaraju. The film was intended to have no dialogues. It was partly reshot and partly dubbed in Tamil as Silence. The film is released along with the dubbed versions in Malayalam and Kannada languages, through Amazon Prime Video on 2 October 2020.
