Speleogobius llorisi, Llori's grotto goby, is a species of ray-finned fish, a true goby from the family Gobiidae. It was described in 2016 from specimens collected in the western Mediterranean Sea.
Speleogobius llorisi has a relatively elongated body which is laterally compressed, and it has a narrow peduncle to the caudal fin. It has a long head which is slightly depressed, having a nearly horizontal nape, and a moderately long snout which is equal to or longer than the diameter of the eye. The head and body to the bases of the pectoral and pelvic fin are coloured orange red and the remainder of the body is whitish to nearly transparent. The nape is whitish pink and the underside of head and cheeks are orange red mottled with whitish markings. There are two melanophores on the chin as well as a transverse orange-red band. The opercle and area in front of the pelvic fin are orange red. There is a dark blotch on the caudal peduncle and there are three wide, transverse dark stripes in the back. The fins are mainly transparent. [1]
Speleogobius llorisi was described from specimens collected off the south west coast of the Balearic island of Mallorca in the western Mediterraean. [2] It has since been found in the eastern Aegean Sea off Turkey. [3]
The feeding and reproductive habits of Speleogobius llorisi are unknown. It was collected from depths between 40–70 metres (130–230 ft) among beds of red algae dominated by species in the family Peyssonneliaceae, in areas sheltered from significant currents. [1] [2]
The specific name honours the ichthyologist Domenec Lloris of the Institut de Ciències del Mar in Barcelona, in recognition of his “outstanding” contribution to the science of ichthyology. [4]

The Bath's goby feeds on bosmiden, brine shrimps, lobster eggs, oyster eggs, zoobenthos and zooplankton. In 2013, it was listed as data deficient but was changed to Least Concern the following year because the population is thought to stable, it may be under-represented and there are no known threats. The specific name honours the German ichthyologist Hans Walter Bath (1924-2015).

It can grow up to a length of 25 cm (9.8 in) and is distinguishable by two prominent orange to black lines running longitudinally through its body.
The largetooth goby, also known as Wilbur's goby, is a species of ray-finned fish from the family Gobiidae which is native to the Indo-Pacific from the Seychelles to Micronesia. Its known range has been extended to the Red Sea as specimens were photographed at one site and collected at another site off Egypt. This species lives in sheltered marine waters at depths of from 0 to 20 metres preferring areas with sandy substrates. This species grows to a length of 6.5 centimetres (2.6 in) SL. This species is the only known member of its genus. This species is not obviously sexually dimorphic and it has a background colour of pale brown to greenish-brown and a pale ventral side. The body is marked with brown and white spots, pairs of larger brown spots create a mid-lateral row along its flanks and there is a dark spot on the caudal fin peduncle. It has a brown blotch on the cheek and a series of short brown bars along its back. The largetooth goby is a solitary fish which is found in coastal bays, lagoons and estuaries over fine sandy substrates close to the margins of reefs or silt beds in the vicinity of sheltered and often turbid coastal reefs. It is most frequently collected from shallow waters to 7 metres (23 ft), around coral reefs but off southern Japan, the largetooth goby occurs at the bottom of sandy bays. The specific name honours the American physician, Ray Lyman Wilbur (1875–1949) who was president of Stanford University from 1916–1943, as well as being the United States Secretary of the Interior from 1929–1933. Wilbur helped the author, Herre, get to Palau, the type locality of this species.

It is found in the Indian Ocean where it is known from three South African specimens and an Indonesian specimen. It is distinguished from its congeners by the nape having an extensive black flap on both sides of its neck; 10-13 cirri which are found between the neck flaps; an entire dorsal fin; 5-6 cirri above the eye, 6-8 cirri on the noes; the males have small dark spots on their body towards the tail which merge to form short black stripes on caudal peduncle, in life the females have a brilliant yellow caudal fin while in the males only the outer half of the tail is bright yellow.
