Kill at Will 1990 extended play by Ice Cube

Kill at Will is the debut extended play by American rapper Ice Cube released on December 18, 1990 under Priority Records. It was released soon after AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted and capitalized off Cube's newfound solo success.

Originally scheduled as an extended play, Spill At Will became a full-length album during its creation. It is also a prequel to his upcoming fifth LP titled The Slow But Inevitable Maturation of Freddie, which supposed to be released in fall 2010.

Extended play musical recording longer than a single, but shorter than a full album

An extended play record, often referred to as an EP, is a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single, but is usually unqualified as an album or LP. EPs generally contain a minimum of four tracks and maximum of six tracks, and are considered "less expensive and time-consuming" for an artist to produce than an album. An EP originally referred to specific types of vinyl records other than 78 rpm standard play (SP) and LP, but it is now applied to mid-length CDs and downloads as well.

LP record longplay record

The LP is an analog sound storage medium, a vinyl record format characterized by a speed of 33 13 rpm, a 12- or 10-inch diameter, and use of the "microgroove" groove specification. Introduced by Columbia in 1948, it was soon adopted as a new standard by the entire record industry. Apart from a few relatively minor refinements and the important later addition of stereophonic sound, it has remained the standard format for vinyl albums.

Dime won Detroit Music Award in category Outstanding National Small/Independent Label Recording. [3]

Detroit Music Awards

The Detroit Music Awards (DMA) was initially proposed in 1988. Presented by the Motor City Music Foundation, the multi-genre awards ceremony was established to bring recognition to Detroit area musicians. The first award show was held in 1992 at Detroit's Music Hall, and moved to the State Theatre in 1993. In 1998, the organization merged with the Metro Times-sponsored Detroit Music Awards. It has now held at The Fillmore Detroit theatre annually in April. Since its inception, the DMA has featured some of Detroit's most notable musical artists; including Bob Seger, The Clark Sisters, Eminem, George Clinton and Parliament, Glenn Frey, Grand Funk Railroad, Kid Rock, Martha Reeves, The Miracles, Insane Clown Posse, Smokey Robinson, Ted Nugent, The Hummingbirds, and Was Not Was.

"Barry Bonds" is a song by American hip-hop recording artist and record producer Kanye West. It was released as the seventh song on the track-listing of his third studio album Graduation (2007). The track was co-produced by Norfolk record producer Nottz alongside West and contains a sample from a live recording of "Long Red" by the American hard rock band Mountain. The song is built on dense, loping reggae drums and has a spare trip-hop groove driven by moaning bass guitar. In addition to early 1990s hip-hop, it also harbors elements from funk and jazz. Although the arrangement primarily maintains a stripped-down approach, its ominous instrumentation assumes a bombastic combination of twinkling keyboards, minor-key synths, and Gothic organ stabs. The song features a guest appearance from rapper Lil Wayne, who provides the one single guest rap verse on the entire studio album. With the track, West uses former Major League Baseball player and home run king Barry Bonds as a metaphor for his ability to create music hits.
