Spirit and the Bride is a Christian hardcore and metalcore band from Cincinnati, Ohio. The band formed in 2010.
Spirit and the Bride formed in 2010, with the lineup of vocalist Josh Simmons, drummer Adam Simmons, and guitarist Josh Summerville. The band performed their first show as a trio, before adding Devin Scarth to the lineup in 2011. [4] Scarth departed from the band, being replaced Preston Tucker. [4] In 2013, Tucker left the band, his position was filled by Jeremiah Medley. In 2014, the band released With Eyes and Ears to See and Hear independently. In 2015, the band signed with OnTheAttack Records, a Christian hardcore label from San Francisco, California. [3] OnTheAttack would re-release the album through the label. [4] The band would perform shows all throughout 2016, until they announced the release of Dry Bones. [5] Dry Bones was released on May 30, 2017, marking the band's debut on the label. [6] The band would go on to play Audiofeed 2017. [4] On February 23, 2019, the band announced they would be disbanding that year, after a final show.
Spirit and the Bride members have stated in previous interviews that they have been influenced heavily by bands such as Advent, [4] [7] Norma Jean [7] ( O God, the Aftermath era), [4] Thrice, [7] Venia, [4] [7] Sleeping Giant, [7] Comeback Kid, [4] The Red Baron, [4] and The Chariot. [4] However, reviewers have described the band as having an older Christian hardcore and old-school hardcore style, sounding like bands such as Focused, Zao, Strongarm, Shai Hulud, Brother's Keeper and even post-hardcore bands such as The Blamed. Pogona is a genus of reptiles containing six lizard species which are often known by the common name bearded dragons. The name "bearded dragon" refers to the underside of the throat of the lizard, which can turn black and gain weight for a number of reasons, most often as a result of stress, or if they feel threatened. They are a semi-arboreal species, spending significant amounts of time on branches, in bushes, and near human habitation. Pogona species bask on rocks and exposed branches in the mornings and afternoons. Their diet consists primarily of insects, vegetation, and occasionally small rodents. They are found throughout much of Australia and inhabit environments such as deserts, and shrublands.
Scream is an American hardcore punk band from Washington, D.C.; they originally formed in the suburb of Bailey's Crossroads, Virginia. Scream originally formed in 1981 within the vanguard of the Washington Hardcore explosion. In 2009, the band reunited, and as of January 2012 were on tour in Europe. As of 2017, the band was still touring in both America and the United Kingdom.

Racetraitor is an American hardcore punk band originally from Chicago, Illinois. The band attracted controversy in the late 1990s, before any releases, as a result of their radical take on racial politics, which focused on ideas like systemic racism and white privilege before they were widely discussed topics in popular or underground culture. Damien Zev Moyal is an American vocalist, lyricist, musician, songwriter and designer. Originally from Amstelveen, North Holland, Netherlands, he moved to the United States as a child and grew up in Miami, Florida, where he notably fronted such hardcore punk, metallic hardcore and melodic hardcore bands as Shai Hulud, As Friends Rust, Morning Again, Culture, Bird of Ill Omen and Bridgeburne R. Moyal has been based in Ann Arbor, Michigan since 2006 and is the founding member of the semi-eponymously named gothic rock/post-punk band Damien Done.
Damien Done is an American post-punk/gothic rock band from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Formed in Gainesville, Florida in 2002 as a semi-eponymously-named solo project by frontman Damien Moyal, the group has since been expanded to include other band members and co-songwriters. The current lineup features Moyal, Laura Jane Leonard and Tyler Kane.

Near Death Experience is the fourth album by New York hardcore band Cro-Mags. It was released in 1993 on Century Media Records. In 2015, German record label Demons Run Amok Entertainment re-issued it on vinyl. It is, to date, the last album to feature vocalist John Joseph. Songs on the album deal with topics such as environmentalism, anti-abortion, and spirituality. After the release of this album, the Cro-Mags had gone on hiatus for some time, experienced more lineup changes, and would not release their next album, Revenge, until seven years later.
