Popular music in Yugoslavia includes the pop and rock music of the former SFR Yugoslavia, including all their genres and subgenres. The scene included the constituent republics: SR Slovenia, SR Croatia, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SR Montenegro, SR Macedonia and SR Serbia and its subunits: SAP Vojvodina and SAP Kosovo. The pop and rock scene was a part of the general Music of Yugoslavia, which also included folk, classical music, jazz etc. Within Yugoslavia and internationally, the phrases ex-YU or ex-Yugoslav Pop and Rock both formally and informally generally to the SFRY period, though in some cases also to its successor the FR Yugoslavia including Serbia and Montenegro which existed until 2006.

Martina Majerle is a Croatian singer of mixed Croatian and Slovenian descent. Majerle represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia with the string quartet Quartissimo with the song "Love Symphony". It competed in the second semi-final but failed to reach the final. Martina has also been a backing vocalist for several countries in various editions of the contest.
Igor Cukrov is a Croatian singer-songwriter, musician and television personality. He came to media attention as one of sixteen contestants of talents show Operacija trijumf, Balkan version of Endemol's Star Academy. Cukrov represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, alongside Andrea Šušnjara, with the song "Lijepa Tena", written by Tonči Huljić. The song qualified to the final from the second semi-final as the jury's selected qualifier. It eventually finished in the 18th place with 45 points.
Dubrovački trubaduri was a Croatian beat, folk and pop band from Dubrovnik formed in 1961 by Đelo Jusić, main composer, guitar and mandolin player and leader of the group. They were very popular in Yugoslavia during the 1960s and 1970s for their mixture of pop music and medieval folk traditions of their native ancient city on the Adriatic coast. Internationally also known as 'Dubrovnic Troubadours or The Troubadours Of Dubrovnik, they enjoyed brief popularity across Western Europe having appeared at the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest in London. Their song "Jedan dan" was performed by their singers Luciano "Lući" Capurso and Hamo Hajdarhodžić and it scored 7th position. Their other major hits include "Dok Palme Njišu Grane" from 1971, and the Italian-influenced "Noćna Muzika" from 1972. The group, in different line-ups, existed until the early 1980s when they broke up.
Marina Tucaković was a Serbian lyricist and songwriter. Born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, Tucaković had a degree from the Economic Faculty at the University of Belgrade. She first started writing songs at the age of 19. After the success of "Dodirni mi kolena" by the Yugoslav rock group Zana and vocalist Zana Nimani, Tucaković continued working with numerous artists in then Yugoslavia.
Petar Grašo is a Croatian pop singer and songwriter. Born in Split to basketball player Zoran Grašo, he rose to prominence when Oliver Dragojević performed one of his first songs "Boginja" on the Dora contest in 1995. Since then, he has collaborated greatly with Dragojević, and has also worked with Doris Dragović, Danijela Martinović, Tonči Huljić, Goran Bregović, and Lepa Brena.

Marko Tomasović is a Croatian composer and songwriter. He was born in Zagreb, Croatia, where he has been living all of his life. So far he composed more than 300 songs for some of the best Croatian singers, such as Zdenka Kovačiček, Tereza Kesovija, Oliver Dragojević, Emilija Kokić, Jasna Zlokić, Tomislav Bralić, Danijela Martinović, Alen Vitasović, Emina Arapović, Ibrica Jusić, Lidija Bačić, Maja Šuput, Alen Nižetić, Marina Tomašević... He discovered many young talents and wrote three Band-aid songs. His work has covered various genres.
The Parade is a 2011 Serbian comedy-drama film, written and directed by Srđan Dragojević and released on 31 October 2011. The film, which deals with LGBT rights issues in Serbia, features footage of the 2010 Belgrade gay pride parade.
Jacques Houdek is a Croatian recording artist who represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "My Friend". Houdek began his professional solo career in 2000 and has since released many recordings and albums out which 13 have been certified silver, gold, platinum and diamond (once). Houdek is one of the mentors in the Croatian version of the TV talent show The Voice. During show's first season, he mentored the winner Nina Kraljić. Aside from Croatian, he has sung and recorded in English, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Slovene, Macedonian, and Māori language.
Zorica Kondža is a Croatian pop-rock singer. She is best known for her soprano vocal range, which she displayed as the lead vocalist for the 1980s pop-rock music act Stijene. Since 1981, she had participated in most of the Split Festivals until 2014, which she had won 7 times. Other than the Split festivals, she also took part in various other jamborees in Croatia, such as the Zadarfest, Dora and Mesam. She began her solo career in 1984, which gained her success in Croatia and neighbouring countries.
Jakša Fiamengo, was a prominent Croatian poet of Čakavian dialect, translator, theatre critic and member of Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. As an author and lyricist of many Dalmatian evergreens, sung by klapa and famous Oliver Dragojević and aesthetic Čakavian poet he is considered among greatest Croatian Čakavian and Mediterranean-oriented literati, together with Drago Gervais, Mate Balota and Vladimir Nazor.
Josip Zovko was a Croatian actor and director. A native of the Berinovac, Lokvičići municipality in the Imotska Krajina he was best known for playing Joze in the television series Naši i vaši. He was also acclaimed for his roles in the films Sorry for Kung Fu and Wish I Were a Shark.
