Daily features include "The Show", which consisted of "The Morning Quickie with Dan Shanoff" until September 2006. Depending on the sports in season, there may be two to three shows on that sport. Currently, after The Morning Buzz, fantasy analysis is presented from any of Christopher Harris, Matthew Berry, Stephania Bell, Scott Engel, AJ Mass, Nate Ravitz, Eric Karabell, and Tristan Cockcroft. On Monday Nights, Buzz used to chat during the Monday Night Football game. But that has been discontinued.
"The Morning Buzz" was the first of many chat sessions and took place every weekday from 10am EST to 11am EST, followed by chat sessions with other notable ESPN.com personalities; along with celebrities and athletes. The Morning Buzz discussed current sports news, along with pop culture, pop tarts and the chatters' lunch selection for the day. The most infamous chatter on the Morning Buzz was Hurricane Jeff from Byesville, Ohio. At the beginning of every post, Hurricane would reintroduce himself. Hurricane Jeff was eventually banned from the Morning Buzz for trying to replace Robert's WIR with the Weekly Whisper. Hurricane Jeff was a controversial character and will go down in history as one of the most influential and creative chatters on the Morning Buzz. A Facebook page for chatters on the Morning Buzz has been created, and started both awards and a Hall of Fame for chatters. Common jokes included Rich Rodriguez, Zach Rastall being pond scum, and fat jokes aimed towards buzz. At 50 past the hour, everyone posted what they were having for lunch. When Buzz was off for the day(or week) the infamous Buzzette filled in and took his place. Buzz announced on September 23, 2011 that the Morning Buzz will officially end on Friday, September 30, 2011.
The Week in Review (abbreviated WIR in the chat) is a long post written by Robert in Raleigh NC every Friday. The WIR generally is posted around 10:50 and reviews topics from the week in a story format. The topics which are generally unrelated, are tied together in some way. The WIR started when a chat user asked what happened during a week of chat that he missed. Robert responded using a similar format to the current WIR and most of the chat users enjoyed it, so the WIR became a weekly segment.
In late 2007, Robert posted that he had to leave the Morning Buzz to do discipline at work and the WIR stopped. During the last week in February, Robert returned to the chat and posted his first WIR on February 29.

Robert (Raleigh NC): Back back back back back, the WIR is not gone, but back! I was cruising up to a grocery store in Negativetown / Killadelphia in my Yugo in search of the perfect Bloody Mary. The store was packed with all kinds of crazy people. One guy was trying to figure out the difference between Cilantro and Parsley while others were buying box wine for their party at the stupid hotel and some were getting ready for their appearance on the Pulse. Just when everything seemed normal, I misremembered where I was; this was Killadelphia and nothing is normal there. About that time employees started running through the store with machine guns attacking each other. I started telling bad knock knock jokes to try and calm people down, but it didn't work. I told them about my man crush on Will Ferrell, that didn't work either. I even offered them my Spice Girl tickets. Nothing. I ran back out to my car in 18.6 seconds and the worst thing possible had happened. Some stupid valet had backed into my bumper. My bumper was destroyed. I didn't even get my Bloody Mary mix. Now my pride, like my bumper, was destroyed. Then I realized it was February 31, therefore, none of this happened. The WIR did not like hibernation and is glad to be back.
On September 23, 2011 at 10:15 ET, Buzz announced that The Morning Buzz was going to be canceled. Buzz stated,
With sadness, I have to inform you that next week will be our last week of The Morning Buzz. Starting Oct. 3, we are pushing our chat start times back to 11 a.m., starting the day with our fantasy chats and then after football season, pushing the chat start times back to noon..........and commence.....
The last chat was held on September 30, ending its 4-year run.

David Michael Letterman is an American television host, comedian, writer and producer. He hosted late night television talk shows for 33 years, beginning with the February 1, 1982 debut of Late Night with David Letterman on NBC and ending with the May 20, 2015 broadcast of Late Show with David Letterman on CBS. In total, Letterman hosted 6,080 episodes of Late Night and Late Show, surpassing his friend and mentor Johnny Carson as the longest-serving late night talk show host in American television history. In 1996, Letterman was ranked 45th on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time. In 2002, The Late Show with David Letterman was ranked seventh on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time.
The Carolina Hurricanes are a professional ice hockey team based in Raleigh, North Carolina. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference, and play their home games at PNC Arena.
Euphoria Mourning is the first solo studio album by American musician Chris Cornell. It was released through Interscope Records on September 21, 1999, and Cornell embarked on a tour in support of the album in 2000. Cornell's only album from between the dissolution of Soundgarden and the formation of Audioslave, it did not sell as well as much of his work with those groups, though it did sell over 75,000 copies in its first week of release and has gone on to sell over 393,000 copies in the U.S. The album was well-received critically, and its lead single, "Can't Change Me", was nominated for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards.
Anthony Irwin Kornheiser is an American television sports talk show host and former sportswriter and columnist. Kornheiser is best known for his endeavors in three forms of media: as a writer for The Washington Post from 1979 to 2008, as a co-host of ESPN's Emmy Award-winning sports debate show Pardon the Interruption since 2001, and as the host of The Tony Kornheiser Show, a radio show and podcast. Longtime ESPN executive John Walsh once declared that "in the history of sports media, [Kornheiser] is the most multitalented person ever."
The Greensboro sit-ins were a series of nonviolent protests in February to July 1960, primarily in the Woolworth store—now the International Civil Rights Center and Museum—in Greensboro, North Carolina, which led to the F. W. Woolworth Company department store chain removing its policy of racial segregation in the Southern United States. While not the first sit-in of the civil rights movement, the Greensboro sit-ins were an instrumental action, and also the best-known sit-ins of the civil rights movement. They are considered a catalyst to the subsequent sit-in movement, in which 70,000 people participated. This sit-in was a contributing factor in the formation of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC).
WDNC is a sports radio station licensed to Durham, North Carolina but based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Owned and operated by Capitol Broadcasting Company as part of a cluster with NBC affiliate WRAL-TV, Fox affiliate WRAZ, and sister radio stations WCLY, WCMC-FM and WRAL, the station's studios are in Raleigh, and the transmitter site is in Durham. WDNC is branded as The Buzz and is affiliated with the CBS Sports Radio and ESPN Radio networks. In addition, WDNC is the flagship station for the Duke Blue Devils and is the local affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets.
"You're with me, leather" or YWML as it is also known, is a phrase popular with sports website Deadspin, its readers and fellow sports bloggers, and has grown into an Internet phenomenon. The phrase gained widespread popularity after an anecdote was submitted to Deadspin on April 11, 2006, describing the use of the phrase as a pick-up line by ESPN anchor Chris Berman.
Ryan McLachlan is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Richard Norton. He made his first screen appearance on 15 February 1990 and remained on the show until 21 March 1991.
Jeffrey James Marek is a television personality and radio host for properties originating from Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. Jeff has hosted Live Audio Wrestling, Leafs Lunch and The Jeff Marek Show, as well as making notable television appearances on TSN Off The Record and Leafs TV After the Horn. On October 1, 2007, he started as the host of Hockey Night in Canada Radio, signing a one-year contract with Sirius Satellite Radio in mid-August, 2007. As of July 6, 2011, Marek works with Sportsnet. He is the host of Hockey Central and also hosts The CHL on Sportsnet. Between 2014 and 2016 he occasionally hosted Hockey Night in Canada games that were played in the morning.
Bruce Wolf is a veteran Chicago broadcaster and sports anchor who has been on both TV and radio for more than 20 years. He formerly hosted a politics-themed talk show weekday mornings on WLS (AM) radio in Chicago. He also fills in as a sportscaster on WMAQ-TV in Chicago and works part-time as a divorce attorney.

Michael John Buckley is an American former YouTuber. Noted for his vlog What the Buck!?, Buckley commented on pop culture events and celebrities, at one point holding one of YouTube's most popular entertainment channels. Buckley "broke all records" of YouTube ratings when four of his shows ended up on the week's ten top-rated videos. He has appeared in magazines and newspapers such as The New York Times discussing Internet entrepreneurship and The Advocate discussing homophobia on the Internet. In 2008, he won a YouTube Award for best commentary with the video "LonelyGirl15 is Dead!"
"Root Beer Rag" is a composition from Billy Joel's 1974 album Streetlife Serenade. An instrumental track in a very fast ragtime style, it was later released as the B-side of several singles from Joel's 52nd Street album, including "Big Shot" in the US, "Until the Night" in the UK, and "Honesty" in Japan and some European countries. A live version was included with the DVD that was part of the 30th anniversary re-release of The Stranger.
Andrew Adrian Garcia is an American singer from Moreno Valley, California who was the ninth place finalist on the ninth season of American Idol. Garcia has released two EPs and numerous standalone singles. He has also collaborated with several artists.
Scott Darling is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender. He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Chicago Blackhawks and Carolina Hurricanes. Darling was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the sixth round, 153rd overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Darling won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Blackhawks in 2015, becoming the first Chicago-area native player to win a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks.
Franklin Eugene McCain was an American civil rights activist and member of the Greensboro Four. McCain, along with fellow North Carolina A&T State University students Ezell Blair Jr., Joseph McNeil and David Richmond, staged a sit-in protest at the Woolworth lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina, on February 1, 1960 after they were refused service due to the color of their skin. Their actions were credited with launching the Greensboro sit-ins, a massive protest across state lines involving mostly students who took a stand against discrimination in restaurants and stores by refusing to leave when service was denied to them. The sit-ins successfully brought about the reversal of Woolworth's policy of racial segregation in their southern stores, and increased national sentiment to the fight of African-Americans in the south.
The 2015 Federated Auto Parts 400 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race held on September 12, 2015, at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. Contested over 400 laps on the three–quarter (1.2 km) short track, it was the 26th race of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Matt Kenseth won the race, his fourth of the season. Kyle Busch finished second. Joey Logano, Aric Almirola and Dale Earnhardt Jr. rounded out the top-five.
The 2015 CampingWorld.com 500 at Talladega was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race held on October 25, 2015, at Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama. Contested over 196 laps – extended from 188 laps due to a green-white-checker finish – on the 2.66 mile (4.2 km) superspeedway, it was the 32nd race of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, sixth race of the Chase and final race of the Contender Round. Joey Logano won the race, his sixth of the season and third in a row, thus sweeping the entire Contender Round. Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished second. Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards rounded out the top-five.
The 2015 Ford EcoBoost 400 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race held on November 22, 2015, at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. Contested over 267 laps on the 1.5 mile (2.4 km) oval, it was the 36th and final race of the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Kyle Busch won the race and the championship, his fifth of the season and first of his career. Kevin Harvick finished second. Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Kyle Larson rounded out the top-five. Jeff Gordon finished sixth in his 797th and final scheduled career start and Martin Truex Jr. rounded out the Chase drivers in 14th.
Former American stock car racing driver Jeff Gordon has become an iconic figure in popular culture. While Gordon became a household name among NASCAR fans for his driving career in the Cup Series, he has introduced the sport to a wider audience, largely through the media of the United States.
