This is a list of Spring 1976 PGA Tour Qualifying School graduates. The event was held at the Bay Tree Golf Club at North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. [1] There were 280 players at the event. The event lasted 108 holes in total. After 36 holes, the first cut would reduce the field to 140 players and ties. After 72 holes, the second cut would reduce the field to the low 60 and ties and any other players within 10 strokes of the lead. [2]
Craig Stadler and David Strawn, both recent winners of the U.S. Amateur, were the favorites. [2] This was the second time Mark Lye attempted to earn PGA Tour credentials at q-school. [3] Billy Kratzert attended the school for the third straight year. [4]
Australian Bob Shearer and American Woody Blackburn shared medallist honors at 426 (−6). [1] Among the favorites, Stadler graduated, earning the last spot, while Strawn did not. [5] Mark Lye unsuccessful in moving onto the PGA Tour once again. [3] Kratzert was successful, however, this time. [4]

Craig Robert Stadler is an American professional golfer who has won numerous tournaments at both the PGA Tour and Champions Tour level, including one major championship, the 1982 Masters Tournament.
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour.
The Travelers Championship is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour in Cromwell, Connecticut, a suburb south of Hartford. Since 1984 the tournament has been held at TPC River Highlands. It is managed by The Greater Hartford Community Foundation. In 2018 the Travelers Championship earned the Players Choice Award for the second consecutive year, which is voted on by PGA Tour members for its services, hospitality, attendance and quality of the course.

Grady Neal Lancaster is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour and the PGA Tour Champions.
Russell Earl Cochran is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions, having previously been a member on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. He is one of the few natural left-handed players to win a PGA Tour event. For much of the 1980s through 1992, he was the only left-hander on the PGA Tour.

Jack Kay Jr. is a Canadian professional golfer. Kay had a sterling amateur career. He made the semifinals of the 1985 U.S. Amateur, defeating Scott Verplank in the quarterfinals, and led Canada to its first victory at the Eisenhower Trophy the following year. He had difficulties transitioning to the career of a touring professional, earning full-time status on the PGA Tour for only one season. He had a little more success overseas, winning the 1991 Singapore Open on the Asia Golf Circuit and the 1994 Alfred Dunhill Masters on the PGA Tour of Australasia.

This was the first year that playing privileges went out to the top 50 and, in addition, those that tied for the top 50. The tournament was played over 108 holes at the PGA West Stadium Course, in La Quinta, California. Those earning cards split the $100,000 purse, with the winner earning $15,000.

This is a list of Spring 1977 PGA Tour Qualifying School graduates. The event was held at the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. The tournament was 108 holes long. 415 players were in the field. Due to the size of the field the first three days, Tuesday through Thursday, included the addition of the No. 3 course and No. 5 course at Pinehurst. The No. 2 course would be used exclusively afterwards. After 54 holes the field was expected to be reduced to 120 players. After 72 holes it was expected to be reduced to 70 players. This was scheduled to be the last qualifying school to be held "under the present one-site format." Sections and regional qualifying branches were expected to be added for the next qualifying school in the fall.
