Livermore is a town in Androscoggin County, Maine, United States. Formerly in Oxford County, Maine. The population was 2,127 at the 2020 United States Census. It is included in both the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine Metropolitan New England City and Town Area. High schools students from Livermore attend Spruce Mountain High School in neighboring Livermore Falls. Livermore is known for The Norlands, the Washburn family home.

The Enfield High School campus is located in the Connecticut River Valley, on Enfield Street in Enfield's Historical District. The school has an enrollment of approximately 1400 students. The present facility was erected in 1964 on Enfield Street. The facility underwent a $6.2 million renovation and library addition completed in 2005, and a $103 million "as-new" renovation and significant expansion completed in 2017. In May 2010, Enfield High School and Enrico Fermi High School underwent a consolidation process as part of the restructuring and improvement plan of Enfield Public Schools. Enfield High School operates as the town's sole high school, which houses both students from Enfield High School and the previous Enrico Fermi High School, which closed its doors in 2016.

Goose Creek Memorial is one of the three public high schools in the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District and was built to accommodate the growing population of northern Goose Creek CISD. It was opened with grades 9 to 11 for the 2008–2009 school year, adding students in grade 12 the following year. In 2011, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.
Falmouth High School is a public high school located in the town of Falmouth, Maine, in the United States. The school serves roughly 680 students in grades 9–12. Located on the Woodville Road Campus, the current Falmouth High School was completed in 2001, and opened for the 2001–2002 school year. Previously the school was shared with Falmouth Middle School, and from 1930 to 1955 was in the Plummer-Motz building located on the corner of Middle and Lunt Roads. Falmouth High School is located near the geographic center of town, and is abutted by Falmouth's community park. The school's athletic teams were called the "Yachtsmen" (1950–2021), but the long-lived school mascot was replaced by the "Navigators" (2021–). The school colors are blue and white with gold as secondary.

Ethel "Billie" Wilson Gammon was an American educator and living history museum founder and director. In 1974 she founded the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center on the former estate of Israel Washburn in Livermore, Maine, and served as its volunteer executive director until 1991. Her educational and outreach programs brought 40,000 visitors to the site annually by the end of the twentieth century. She was inducted into the Maine Women's Hall of Fame in 1997.
