Sri Ramulayya is a 1998 Indian Telugu-language biographical film, [1] based on the life of Paritala Sriramulu, father of politician Paritala Ravindra, directed by N. Shankar. [2] The film stars Mohan Babu, Nandamuri Harikrishna and Soundarya. The film was a box office hit and won two Nandi Awards. [3]

The film was launched on 19 November 1997 at Ramanaidu Studios however the event saw thirty people dying due to bomb blast. [5] The film saw Nandamuri Harikrishna making comeback to films after a long sabbatical. [6]

Andhra Today wrote "Like in his earlier venture "Encounter", by opting for a weak theme, the director N. Sanker repeated his mistake in choosing a thin storyline and failed to deliver the goods". [7]

Nandamuri Harikrishna was an Indian politician, actor, and film producer. He served as the Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house the Indian Parliament representing the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh from 2008 to 2013 and a member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1996-1999. His film works were predominantly in Telugu cinema. Harikrishna was the fourth son of actor and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. T. Rama Rao. His sons N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram are actors and daughter Nandamuri Venkata Suhasini is a politician.

Srihari was an Indian actor who was active mainly in Telugu cinema. He appeared in some Tamil, Kannada and Hindi films as well. He won seven Nandi Awards and one Filmfare Award.

Kanneboina Srinivasa Rao Yadav, known professionally as Vandemataram Srinivas, is an Indian music director and playback singer who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He has won two Filmfare Awards and six Nandi Awards. He got the prefix "Vandemataram" from the title song of the film Vande Mataram (1985).
