Sridevi Vijaykumar (born 29 October 1986) [1] is an Indian actress and television personality who works predominantly in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. [2] [3] She became a leading actress from the 2000s till 2017 and later shifting to supporting roles.

Early life

Sridevi was born on 29 October 1986 as the youngest daughter of Tamil actor Vijayakumar and Manjula, a popular South Indian actress. Sridevi has two elder sisters, Vanitha and Preetha, two half-sisters, Kavitha and Anitha, and an elder half-brother, Arun Vijay. [4]

Film career

She started off as a child artist in a Tamil movie Rickshaw Mama . Sridevi made her Tamil debut as heroine in the romantic film Kadhal Virus by Kathir. She shifted to Telugu industry and became popular. She was critically acclaimed for her performance in AVM's Priyamana Thozhi by Vikraman.

Priyamaana Thozhi is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Vikraman and produced by AVM Productions. Indian actress Sridevi made her debut as a child in the 1967 Tamil film Kandhan Karunai at the age of four, and began playing lead roles as a child in M. A. Thirumugam’s 1969 mythological Tamil film Thunaivan. Her first role as an on-screen adult came in 1976 at age 13, in the Tamil film Moondru Mudichu. She then starred in 16 Vayathinile (1977) which proved to be a major breakthrough for Sridevi. S. R. Prabhu is an Indian film producer. During his tenure at Studio Green (2010–13), he has produced 10 Tamil films and distributed 16 films in Tamil and Telugu. Later he founded Dream Warrior Pictures, a film production company in which his brother S. R. Prakashbabu has become partner in 2014. He is also a partner in Potential Studios, which is another film production company. S. R. Prabhu is a relative of the veteran actor Sivakumar and cousin of actors Suriya and Karthi, also he and his family known for jealous with actor vijay and his growth.
