The score and soundtrack for the film was composed by A. R. Rahman. Nala Damayanthi is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Mouli, written and produced by Kamal Haasan. The film stars R. Madhavan in the lead role, with Geetu Mohandas and Shrutika playing supporting roles. The film follows the story of a naive Tamil cook stuck in Australia. It was released on 12 June 2003 to positive reviews. Madhavan, later remade in Hindi-language as Ramji Londonwaley in 2005. The core plot was reported to be based on the 1990 English movie Green Card.

<i>Dasavathaaram</i> 2008 film directed by K. S. Ravikumar

Dasavathaaram is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language science fiction action-thriller film directed by K. S. Ravikumar. It stars Kamal Haasan, who also wrote the script, in ten distinct roles, along with Asin, Jaya Prada, Mallika Sherawat, K. R. Vijaya, Rekha, Nagesh, P. Vasu, Raghuram, Napoleon and M. S. Bhaskar in subsidiary roles. The film focuses on scientist Govind, who's forced to steal a vial containing a deadly virus from his corrupt boss who intended to sell it to a terrorist nation, all the while he's hunted by an American mercenary named Christian Fletcher, an Indian police inspector named Balram Naidu and a set of dark events. Several other people also get involved in the process and all their stories connect after the striking of 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, thus bringing philosophical views into the picture.

He began his acting career in the early 1990s by featuring in Hindi soap operas like Banegi Apni Baat, Sea Hawks, Ghar Jamai and Saaya. In 2000, Madhavan gained recognition in Tamil cinema by playing the lead role in Mani Ratnam's romantic drama film Alai Payuthey. He followed this with appearances in two commercially successful Tamil films, Gautham Vasudev Menon's directorial debut Minnale (2001) and Madras Talkies' Dumm Dumm Dumm (2001), as well as his first Hindi film in a leading role, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001).

C. V. Kumar is an Indian Tamil film producer, director and distributor who heads the production studio Thirukumaran Entertainment. Known for producing innovative and critically acclaimed films, Kumar has also primarily introduced new talent into the film industry in terms of actors and technicians. His first three films, Attakathi, Pizza and Soodhu Kavvum won critical acclaim as well as bringing in revenue of over 50 crore (US$6.3 million). After producing successful films, Kumar began work on his first directorial venture in 2014.

<i>Irudhi Suttru</i> 2016 film by Sudha Kongara

Irudhi Suttru is a 2016 Indian sports drama film written and directed by Sudha Kongara. Filmed simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi, with the latter being titled as Saala Khadoos, the film stars R. Madhavan as boxing coach who is ignored by the boxing association, tries to accomplish his dream by training an amateur boxer, Madhi, played by Ritika Singh in her acting debut. Both the Tamil and Hindi versions are produced by S. Sashikanth for YNOT Studios and UTV Motion Pictures, while C. V. Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment and Dream Factory distributed the Tamil version and the Hindi version was jointly distributed by Madhavan himself under the Tricolour Films banner along with Rajkumar Hirani Films.

Sudha Kongara Prasad, known professionally as Sudha Kongara, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu cinema. She made her directorial debut with the Tamil film Drohi. In 2016, she directed the bilingual Irudhi Suttru for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil. She subsequently directed the film's Telugu remake, Guru (2017). In her career, working over 3 languages, she has won two National Film Awards, two Filmfare Awards South and two South Indian International Movie Awards.

Ritika Mohan Singh is an Indian actress and former mixed martial artist who predominantly appears in Tamil films in addition to Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam films. After competing for India at the 2009 Asian Indoor Games and then participating in the Super Fight League, she played a leading role in Sudha Kongara Prasad's Tamil film Irudhi Suttru alongside R. Sanchana Natarajan is an Indian model and actress who has appeared in predominantly Tamil-language films. Having appeared in small roles in films including Irudhi Suttru (2016) and 2.0 (2018), Sanchana rose to fame with her role in Balaji Mohan's web series As I'm Suffering From Kadhal (2017).

Irudhi Suttru is the soundtrack album for the 2015 bilingual film of the same name starring R. Madhavan and Ritika Singh. The film directed by Sudha Kongara, is made by the production houses YNOT Studios and UTV Motion Pictures, with Thirukumaran Entertainment distributing the Tamil version, whereas Rajkumar Hirani and Madhavan presented the Hindi version Saala Khadoos.
