Sriram Parasuram is a cross-genre Hindustani classical vocalist. [1] He also plays the violin. [2]
He was born into a family steeped in musical tradition, and he was really inclined to music since childhood. His first guru, and mother was Smt. Yumpati Parvathy Parasuram, and he started learning violin at the age of 4. He gave his first violin performance at the age of 7. He has a sister, Meenakshi, and two brothers, Vishwanath Parasuram and Narayan Parasuram, and they are also musicians. They together formed a music band "Three Brothers & Violin" composed for album Savariya – Once Upon A Time the Ohio Beasts Sing and the film Jajantaram Mamantaram . [3]
Parasuram received his Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University, where he met Anuradha when she was a masters student. [4] [5]
He is married to Carnatic classical vocalist Anuradha Sriram, with whom he gives jugalbandis. [6] They have two sons, named Jayant and Lokesh.
Thyagaraja, also known as Thyāgayya and in full as Kakarla Thyagabrahmam, was a composer and vocalist of Carnatic music, a form of Indian classical music. Tyagaraja and his contemporaries, Shyama Shastri and Muthuswami Dikshitar, are regarded as the Trinity of Carnatic music. Tyagaraja composed thousands of devotional compositions, most in Telugu and in praise of Rama, many of which remain popular today, the most popular being "Nagumomu". Of special mention are five of his compositions called the Pancharatna Kritis, which are often sung in programs in his honour, and Utsava Sampradaya Krithis, which are often sung to accompany temple rituals.
Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna was an Indian Carnatic vocalist, musician, multi-instrumentalist, playback singer, composer, and character actor. He was awarded the Madras Music Academy's Sangeetha Kalanidhi in 1978. He has garnered two National Film Awards, the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1975, the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian honor in 1991, for his contribution towards arts, the Mahatma Gandhi Silver Medal from UNESCO in 1995, the Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government in 2005, the Sangeetha Kalanidhi by Madras Music Academy, and the Sangeetha Kalasikhamani in 1991, by the Fine Arts Society, Chennai to name a few.

Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh is an annual Indian classical music festival held at Chowmahalla Palace in Hyderabad, India. The festival is organised by noted classical singer Pt. Jasraj in memory of his father and brother, both classical musicians. Jasraj always performs on 30 November every year, his father's death anniversary and a tribute to Jasraj's guru, his mentor and elder brother, Maniram, who died in 1986, and Jasraj renamed the festival to include his brother's name.

Airtel Super Singer 2006 - Thamizhagathil Brahmaanda Kuralukkaana Thedal, the first season of the Airtel Super Singer show and Vijay TV's Super Singer series, was a reality TV singing competition in the Tamil language that aired on Star Vijay and was hosted by singer/voice artist Chinmayi Sripaada. The judging panel of this season includes, Anuradha Sriram, P. Unnikrishnan, and Srinivas.
