St. Theresa of Avila High School, commonly called St. Theresa, was a private Coeducational catholic high school in Detroit, Michigan. It was a member of the Detroit Catholic High School League and was located on 8666 Quincy Street.

The school was a perennial football powerhouse in the 1930s and 1940s, having won multiple league championships. [1]

The school closed in 1967.

The Catholic High School League (CHSL) is a school athletic conference based in Detroit, Michigan, led by director Victor Michaels. Most member schools are also members of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), the governing body for Michigan scholastic sports, except for the five schools from Toledo, which are members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Unlike many similar leagues, the CHSL governs secondary, middle, and elementary sports for most of the parochial schools in the Detroit area. Austin Catholic Preparatory School Private, all-male school in Detroit, Michigan, United States

Austin Catholic Preparatory School was an all–male, non–residential college preparatory school in Detroit, Michigan. Austin was "one of the city's most widely respected schools." The school was founded in 1951 and operated by the Roman Catholic Order of Augustinians. Its first class graduated in 1956. Austin was closed in 1978 due to declining enrollment and a desire by the Augustinians to sell the school's property.

The Goodfellow Game was an annual high school football game for the unofficial city of Detroit high school football championship. The game was played between the champions of the Detroit City League and the champions of the Detroit Parochial League. The Goodfellow Game was played every year from 1938 through 1967. The Goodfellow Game was played sometimes at University of Detroit Stadium, but mostly at Briggs/Tiger Stadium and part of the proceeds went to the Old Newsboys’ Goodfellow Fund of Detroit, thus the name "Goodfellow Game".
