St Lawrence's Church [1] is the parish church of Bardney in Lincolnshire, England. It is one of the oldest buildings in the village and the only Grade I listed building. [2]
St Lawrence Church was built around 1434 [3] and replaced a former parish church on the site. [4] [5] This gave the village two places of worship when the former Bardney Abbey was still also active until the dissolution of the monasteries in 1538 and was completely destroyed with nothing but the mounds and former earthworks of the abbey. The church also saw renovation take place in the 1870s. [6] The church was given grade I listed status in November 1966 by Historic England.
