Detroit Lakes is a city and the county seat of Becker County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 9,869 at the 2020 census. Its unofficial population during summer months is much higher, estimated by citizens to peak at 13,000 midsummers, due to seasonal residents and tourists.

Located at 1200 North Depot Street, the station consists of an uncovered platform on the north side of the east–west tracks, a small parking lot, and two buildings. The former Railway Express Agency/baggage building is boarded up, while the main building has a small, remodeled waiting room for Amtrak passengers as well as offices for the Sandusky Transit System and North Central EMS.

Lafayette station is an Amtrak station in Lafayette, Indiana, served by the Cardinal. The current station facility was established in 1994. The Amtrak train previously stopped in the middle of the city's 5th Street, near the former Monon Railroad depot. The station building was moved to its current location from the southeast corner of 2nd and South streets in September 1994. It is a Romanesque Revival style depot built in 1902 by the Lake Erie and Western Railroad and Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway, as the Big Four Depot. The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The station is currently located in the former BNSF freight house. The former main station building is now home to Great Northern Bicycle Co.
