Star is a 1982 Indian Bollywood movie, directed by Vinod Pande, starring Kumar Gaurav, Rati Agnihotri, Raj Kiran, Saeed Jaffrey, A.K. Hangal, Dina Pathak and Padmini Kolhapure.
It had a very successful soundtrack released as Star/Boom Boom , produced by Biddu and sung by Nazia Hassan and Zoheb Hassan. Despite popular soundtracks, the movie flopped at the box office. [1]
Nazia and Zoheb were offered the chance to act in this movie by Biddu, but they refused to act and chose singing.
Dev Kumar Verma comes from a middle-class family and must find employment to support his parents. Dev, however, has set his mind upon becoming a music sensation like Elvis Presley.
He loses his job because of this and refuses to work until he gets a job to his liking, much to his parents' dismay and his brother, Shiv Kumar Verma. Dev gets employment at Charlie's Disco, where he meets Maya and falls in love with her.
When Charlie's Disco's competitor, Rana, finds out about Dev, he wants to hire Dev, but Dev decides to continue to work with Charlie's Disco. Consequently, Dev and Charlie get beaten up by Rana's men, and Dev cannot sing.
After recuperating, Dev is devastated to find out that Maya and Shiv are in love with each other.
All songs were sung by Pakistani pop duo Nazia and Zoheb, consisting of Nazia Hassan and her brother Zoheb Hassan.

Nazia and Zoheb were Pakistani pop duo from Karachi, Sindh formed in 1980. The group consisted of two siblings, Nazia Hassan and Zoheb Hassan, who were singing sensations and pop icons across South Asia. They are regarded as pioneers of the Pakistani pop scenes, and were one of the most successful Asian pop duos of all time, selling more than 105 million albums worldwide.

Qurbani (transl. Sacrifice) is a 1980 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic action thriller film produced, directed by and starring Feroz Khan. Mashaal is a 1984 Bollywood action film. Produced and directed by Yash Chopra, it starred Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Anil Kapoor and Rati Agnihotri. The role played by Anil Kapoor was first offered to Amitabh Bachchan and then to Kamal Haasan, but after they declined the offer, the role went to Anil Kapoor. Vinod Kumar plays a respected, law-abiding citizen who turns to crime for exacting revenge. The movie was based on the well-known Marathi play Ashroonchi Zhali Phule written by famous Marathi writer Vasant Kanetkar. The movie was remade in Malayalam as Ithile Iniyum Varu with Mamooty playing the lead role.
"Aap Jaisa Koi" is a song from the soundtrack of the 1980 Bollywood film Qurbani. It was the debut song of Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan, and was composed by British Indian producer Biddu. The song was featured in the film as an item number, picturised on Zeenat Aman. It has been remixed and sampled by many other artists.
