The Star Award for Movie Actress of the Year is one of the PMPC Star Award for Movies recognizing the outstanding films in the Philippines every year. It was founded by the Philippine Movie Press Club since 1985.

Angelica Locsin Colmenares is a Filipina television and film actress, commercial model, film producer and fashion designer. On ABS-CBN from 2002, she came to prominence for her television roles as Alwina in the 2004 fantasy-themed television series Mulawin and as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the Mars Ravelo eponymous comic.
