The Star Awards is an annual ceremony held in Singapore where the media organisation Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year.
Star Awards 2005 was the 12th Star Awards ceremony, held on 4 December 2005. It was part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. Following MediaCorp's merger with SPH MediaWorks on 1 January 2005, the nominees included artistes from the former SPH MediaWorks Channel U, many of whom were former employees of MediaCorp and its predecessor Television Corporation of Singapore. MediaCorp TV Channel 8 broadcast the awards ceremony from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm while SPH MediaWorks Channel U now MediaCorp TV Channel U, aired the ceremony for the first time and began broadcasting the ceremony at 7:30 pm.
Star Awards 2004 was a television award telecasted in 2004 as part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for MediaCorp TV Channel 8. This award was the 11th installment since its first presentation in 1994, ten years ago. This award ceremony saw revamps to various category awards, such as the introduction to the All-Time Favourite Artiste, and popularity polls held in Taiwan and Malaysia were discontinued. The Special Achievement Award would be discontinued from this award in the place for All-Time Favourite Artiste until its temporary revival in the 2018 ceremony.

The ceremony, alongside the Walk-of-fame and the Post-show party, were held on 10 December 2006 in Singapore and was hosted by Guo Liang and Taiwanese host Patty Hou.

It was the first Star Awards ceremony to be broadcast in two weeks putting emphasis on two programmes; the first ceremony, broadcast on 9 December 2007, titled 红星大奖之戏剧情牵25, commentating 25 years of drama in the Television in Singapore. The second show, airing 16 December 2007, would be a regular ceremony.

It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for the two free-to-air channels, MediaCorp Channel 8 and MediaCorp Channel U. Star Awards 2013 was broadcast live on Channel 8, on 21 April 2013 and 28 April 2013. The first ceremony was held at the MediaCorp TV Theatre while the second ceremony was held at the Marina Bay Sands. The ceremonies were also broadcast on 8 International and the second ceremony on Astro AEC & Astro Quan Jia HD for the first time in HD. As with the previous three years, viewers were able to catch the presentation of the Professional awards on Channel 8. The ceremony was aired live on 21 April, while the annual Star Awards prize presentation was aired on 28 April. A post-show was held after the awards ceremony on 28 April, which was broadcast on Channel U at 2200hrs.

Star Awards 2018 is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. The Post Party and Ceremony Awards was broadcast live on 22 April 2018. A total of 15 awards were handed out during the ceremony, among which the Special Achievement Award, an award given out to a celebrity in recognition to meritorious contribution, returned after a 15-year absence, with the award last presented in 2003, in the place of All-Time Favourite Artiste, which was not presented this year, and the third ceremony overall, after 2007 and 2013.
Star Awards 2019 is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. Star Awards 2019 marks the 25th anniversary, or Silver Jubilee, of the Star Awards since it was first awarded in 1994, hence subtitled Star Awards 25. The theme for the ceremony is "The Moment", highlighting the best moments of the local television industries alongside Singapore's talents and audiences as well. This is also the first award ceremony to feature a vocalized version of the Awards' theme tune, titled 《星光》(lit. "Starlight").
