Star Search 2007 is the 9th installment of Star Search . It marked the return of the talent-search program. From May 2007, Star Search 2007 travelled to China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore in its search for new talents.
Eager to be the next big thing, 1,500 people flocked to the auditions. Talent cuts across geographical boundaries and, as such, there is no restriction on the number to be shortlisted for each region. The numbers are broken down this way:

Two contestants will be removed from the talent quest each week, with no chance of a revival.
There will be four weeks of preliminary rounds, two weeks of quarter finals; one week of semi-final and grand final each.

Another new element this year is the introduction of MediaCorp artistes as mentors to the contestants. The responsibility of the artistes is to teach and they are also required to showcase the best qualities of their charges to the judges and audience. [1]

This week, the remaining contestants will travel back time to the colourful time in the 1970s.
Contestants will perform a song-and-dance item to the tunes of Beautiful Sunday and Qiao He which are hits songs back in the 1970s.

Apart from the 10 mentors Zheng Geping, Huang Wenyong, Chen Liping, Chen Hanwei, Tay Ping Hui, Huang Biren, Ivy Lee, Hong Huifang, Edmund Chen and Rayson Tan, Star Search alumni Zoe Tay, Chew Chor Meng, Ix Shen, Felicia Chin, Vivian Lai, Yao Wenlong, Florence Tan, Jeff Wang, Aileen Tan, Brandon Wong, Chen Tianwen, Dennis Chew, Patricia Mok, Bryan Wong and Kym Ng attended the Grand Final. In addition, Taiwanese band Energy made a special guest appearance.
In this critical stage of the competition, the current panel will increase to a total of 6 judges. Besides the 3 resident judges, Taiwanese artiste Lang Tzu-yun, Hong Kong director Alfred Cheung and Senior Vice President of Chinese Drama Kok Len Shoong, Hong Kong actor Kenny Bee, local artiste Fann Wong and Deputy Group CEO (TV) Chang Long Jong will also be accessing the finalists in their performances.
There will also be three subsidiary awards for the six Finalists to compete in: Ms Telegenic Award, Mr Personality Award, and Most Popular Award

Project SuperStar is a singing talent search competition organised by MediaCorp and broadcast on Channel U in Singapore. Project SuperStar was organised to uncover and develop young talent in Mandarin pop in Singapore. Closely modelled after the Pop Idol, 24 contestants were selected to enter the Quarter Finals of the competition. For both seasons, it was hosted by Quan Yi Fong and Jeff Wang. Episodes were pre-recorded, and broadcast on Wednesday for male contestants, while episodes on Thursday feature female contestants. Season 3's Live-telecast will begin on 18 August 2014 and the finale is set to be on 26 October 2014. It is announced that Dasmond Koh, Jeremy Chan and Shane Pow will be the hosts for the third season.
Campus SuperStar is a Singaporean reality television singing competition to find new singing talent, contested by aspiring singers drawn from public auditions. The show began on 2 January 2006 and is broadcast on MediaCorp Channel U. It is a spin-off of Project SuperStar, and contestants comprise students from secondary schools, junior colleges and institutes of technical education.
Star Idol was a Singaporean televised acting competition held in 2005 and aired on MediaCorp TV Channel 8. The competition was first announced through the Internet on 11 August 2005, and elimination rounds commenced on November 2 of the same year. The programme aired weekly on Wednesdays at 8:00pm and ended with a two-hour grand final on March 19, 2006.

Campus SuperStar is a Singaporean television music competition to find new singing talent. Contestants are students from secondary schools, junior colleges and institutes of technical education. The first season began airing on MediaCorp Channel U on 2 January, 2006 and ended on 3 April, 2006. The original lineup of judges were Foong Wai See, Cavin Soh and Peter Tan. Li Feihui was brought in as the fourth judge in the first week of semi-final. Hong Junyang, Dasmond Koh and Sugianto hosted the show.

Star Search 2003 is the 8th installment of Star Search. From March 2003, auditions started in three countries, Singapore, Malaysia and China to search for Chinese language-speaking acting talent. Selected contestants are provided training for a final selection in each country. Each of the 3 countries selects 4 Star Search contestants to compete at the Grand Finals on June 29 in Singapore.
The third season of the Malaysian reality talent show Project SuperStar Malaysia, based on the Singaporean reality show of the same name began on 2 February 2008 on 8TV. For the third consecutive season, Gary Yap and Cheryl Lee returned as hosts.

Tracy Lee Mei Leng is a Malaysian former actress and television host based in Singapore. Lee was a contestant in Star Search 2007. She became a Mediacorp full-time actress in 2008. In 2016, Lee left the entertainment industry, after deciding not to renew her contract with MediaCorp.
The third season of the Singaporean reality talent show Project SuperStar began on 18 August 2014. It was broadcast on MediaCorp Channel U and simulcast on Toggle Live. The show was hosted by Dasmond Koh, with Jeremy Chan and Shane Pow acting as managers for the contestants. Roy Li and Dawn Yip returned as judges for their third season, and they were joined by Eric Ng who appeared as a judge for the first time. Taiwanese singer Tiger Huang and former judge Lee Wei Song served as the guest judges at the grand final.
The sixth season of StarStruck, is a 2015 Philippine television reality talent competition show, was broadcast on GMA Network. Hosted by Dingdong Dantes and Megan Young, it premiered on September 7, 2015. The segment hosts are StarStruck graduates Mark Herras, Miguel Tanfelix, Kris Bernal, and Rocco Nacino, and they serve as journey hosts, who are tasked to join the hopefuls as they go through every phase of the competition. The council was composed of Joey de Leon, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Jennylyn Mercado and Dantes is also part of the council. The season ended with 76 episodes on December 19, 2015, having Migo Adecer and Klea Pineda as the Ultimate Survivors.

Star Awards 2018 is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore, with the Post Party and Ceremony Awards was broadcast live on 22 April 2018. A total of 15 awards were handed out during the ceremony, among which the Special Achievement Award, an award given out to a celebrity in recognition to meritorious contribution, returned after a 15-year absence, with the award last presented in 2003, in the place of All-Time Favourite Artiste, which was not presented this year, and the third ceremony overall, after 2007 and 2013.
The seventh and final season of StarStruck, is a 2019 Philippine television reality talent competition show, was broadcast on GMA Network. Hosted by Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado, it premiered on June 15, 2019. The council was composed of Heart Evangelista, Cherie Gil and Jose Manalo. SPOP Sing! is a Chinese singing reality competition broadcast by Mediacorp Channel 8. Season 1 premiered on 9 August after the broadcast of National Day Parade and ended on the live finale on 4 November at Padang.
Star Awards 2019 is a television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. Star Awards 2019 marks the 25th anniversary, or Silver Jubilee, of the Star Awards since it was first awarded in 1994, hence subtitled Star Awards 25. The theme for the ceremony is "The Moment", highlighting the best moments of the local television industries alongside Singapore's talents and audiences as well. This is also the first award ceremony to feature a vocalized version of the Awards' theme tune, titled 《星光》(lit. "Starlight").
Star Search 2019 is the 11th installment of the long-running Chinese talent competition Star Search, hosted by Mediacorp, since 1988. This was the first season of Star Search since 2010, returning after a nine-year hiatus. The grand prize includes a Mediacorp management contract and an Audi Q2 SUV.
