Chen Tianwen (born 28 May 1963) [1] is a Singaporean actor.
Chen was educated at the now-defunct Serangoon Garden Secondary Technical School. He joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now Mediacorp) after completing the 5th artiste drama training class and made his debut in 1984. He is contracted to Mediacorp, starring in many Chinese-language Singaporean dramas shown on MediaCorp Channel 8 since the 1990s. He has also starred in Singaporean movies including Ah Boys to Men , Ah Boys to Men 2 , Ilo Ilo , The Lion Men , The Lion Men: Ultimate Showdown , Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen , Mr. Unbelievable , Lulu the Movie and Take 2 .
Chen holds a black belt in taekwondo [2] and his martial arts background led to him being cast in many Wuxia dramas in the 1990s and as characters with fight scenes in other drama series.[ citation needed ] He is also a member of the Singapore Celebrity Soccer Team. [3]
The Straits Times remarked that Chen's "much-praised understated turn" in the Cannes Film Festival award-winning film Ilo Ilo put him in the spotlight once again. [4]
Chen hit the headlines again when two parody music videos he starred in, went viral. The first, titled "Unbelievable", was "lauded" for the nonsensical line "I so stunned like vegetable" [ sic ], drawing the attention of Time magazine, [5] while the second, "Sandcastle in My Heart", in which Irene Ang also starred, did not become as popular as the previous one. Both videos are a parody of popular Chinese MVs in the 1970s, particularly the work of Singaporean singer Huang Qing Yuan.
Chen told Channel NewsAsia that he and Bao Xiao Hui, a Mongolian, [6] were married in May 2014. [7] The couple had a son named Genghis Chan, who was born on 12 June 2015. [8]

Adrian Pang Yeow Soon is a Singaporean actor, host, and contracted artiste under FLY Entertainment. A full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1990 to 2010, Pang first came to prominence in the Singapore television scene with his performances in both English-language and Chinese-language television dramas produced by MediaCorp and SPH MediaWorks in the 1990s. Since then, he has taken roles in hosting and theatre production. More recently, he had a small role in the Hollywood cybercrime movie Blackhat (2015), starring Chris Hemsworth and Wang Leehom.

The Awakening is a 1984 Singapore's official first local blockbuster drama series produced by Singapore Broadcasting Corporation to celebrate the nation's 25th National Day celebrations. The series mainly covers the Chinese Singaporean experience in Singapore, from the first generation of Chinese immigrants who arrived on a relatively undeveloped island, through the Japanese occupation periods, and to the Chinese Singaporeans in the present day (1984), who reside in a developed nation that is radically different from the land their ancestors arrived at. The Chinese Drama Division’s first major success was The Awakening in 1984 a highly popular series about the toils and troubles of Singapore’s early Chinese immigrants in the 19th century. The Awakening's grand opening took place as Singapore's official first local long-length blockbuster drama on 6 February 1984 during Chinese New Year holiday. The Awakening official celebration took place on its forty years of anniversary since its original broadcast on 6 February 2024 during Chinese New Year holiday.

Mr. Unbelievable is a 2015 Singaporean musical comedy film directed by Ong Kuo Sin, and starring Chen Tianwen as the titular protagonist. It is based on the viral song "Unbelievable" and was released in cinemas in Singapore on December 3, 2015, and in Malaysia on January 14, 2016. It also marks the third on-screen reunion of Chen Tianwen, Liu Lingling, Roy Li and Hayley Woo after their previous collaborations in the Singaporean long drama series 118 and 118 II, where both of the installments theme songs were sung by popular local celebrity and film director Jack Neo. Secondly, it also marks another on-screen reunion of Liu Lingling and Zhang Xinxiang after their previous collaboration in the local drama known as Portrait of Home and 118. Take 2 is a 2017 Singaporean comedy film directed by Ivan Ho and executively produced by Jack Neo. This marks Ho's directorial debut after being a longtime scriptwriting partner of Neo's, and one of two films distributed by mm2 Entertainment during the Chinese New Year period in 2017, the other being The Fortune Handbook. It also marks the on-screen reunion of Maxi Lim, Gadrick Chin, Wang Lei and Chen Tianwen after their previous collaboration in the Naval Diving Unit movie known as Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen.
